Drilling in the shale patch is up, and all of the usual whining crying and lies by the rightwingnut media, and the i***ts on social media will be flapping their gums about stupid opinions based on nothing.

And while production is up in 2021, will increase more in 2022, the rate of consumption in this country is approx 18 million barrels per day, leaving a shortfall of approx 7 million barrels per day.

Which means imports will continue, so it makes perfect sense to encourage OPEC and others to increase current production levels. Only the stupid and ignorant fail to understand that.

And once again, this country has never been oil independent since WWII, and since 1948, has had to rely on oil from the ME, as well as other countries.

With all this great news wonder why biden released oil reserves to get prices down that were already at 2.00 when he took office… What changed at that time, if I may ask??? And here's your own CNN. Now be sure to read between the lines for some t***h.., lolol

CNN)President Joe Biden on Tuesday announced the release of emergency oil reserves to combat high energy prices ahead of the busy holiday travel season, but it will be weeks before the barrels hit the market.

The Department of Energy will release 50 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, according to the White House -- the largest release from the reserve in US history, Biden said.
Biden on Tuesday noted that the administration's actions "will not solve the problem of high gas prices overnight."

The release is aimed at addressing the lack of oil supply around the world, but its actual effect may be limited. In 2019, US petroleum use averaged approximately 20.5 million barrels of oil per day and in 2020 the US used on average about 18.1 million barrels per day, according to the Department of Energy's Energy Information Administration. The EIA reports petroleum usage was lower in 2020 due to the C****-** p******c.
The barrels of oil involved in Tuesday's announcement will not hit the market until "mid to late December, depending on market take up," according to a senior administration official.
"We're taking action. The big part of the reason Americans are facing high gas prices is because oil producing countries and large companies have not ramped up the supply of oil quickly enough to meet the demand. And the smaller supply means higher prices globally, globally, for oil," Biden said during remarks at the White House.
This release will be in coordination with several other countries, including China, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea and the United Kingdom. Officials believe the coordinated effort could potentially have more of an effect on lowering gas prices.
As of Friday, there were 604.5 million barrels of oil in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, according to the Department of Energy.
The move comes as the White House faces mounting pressure to lower skyrocketing prices at the pump that are contributing to the biggest inflation spike in decades, causing frustration and anger among Americans. <smip>

Of course it’s up. Holidays are here.
And prices have fixated on not coming down , as would happen in a free market society.
Now if use goes up , prices go up.
If use goes down, prices still go up to cover any losses.
Free market society my azz.

Well, that and the fact that petrol stocks are slowly becoming unbearable. Divestiture
In petrol. Favoring G***n E****y,
Because free people still need to breathe.

I thought you were the economist.
You tell me.

Please keep in mind ,the air regulations that were placed on petrol companies were totally obliterated under trump.
No regulations , burn all you can stand.
Dump the sludge in your front yard.

Glad you called him out. B.S. article. Oil Independence means we were producing enough to take care of our own needs if we had to. Under the last administration we were a net exporter. Not now. Anything else is just noise. Imagine someone stupid enough to take the words of CNN as fact. Sounds like a fan of Chris Cuomo.

Newsflash:
Nobody cares about what your needs are.
You are only another commodity.
Oil independence.
We import more oil than we can use.
We export more refined oil for the money.
You, are not a part if any of it.
Our internal supplies are regulated by how much we import and export.
Nothing to do with you.
If prices are down here we export more to sell at higher prices.
Prices come up here, you get all you want.

Please remember under Trump we had the best air quality in decades. Somebody dumped sludge and named it Miloia2. Oil supply world wide is down. We can't make up the difference because of i***t Joe's policies. Demand is up and high inflation, is here because of i***t Joes policies.

The USA was No. 1 in Oil Production before Biden took office . He has shutdown many oil pipe lines down and reduced the Shale Oil production too.
This is the reasons , Nov 1, 2020 gas was $1.75 per gal of gas now 13 months later it’s over $3.22 per gal of gas. Everything you can think of in buying has gone between 10% to 50%.
Biden policies do not work and will not work either !
