The snow cover also muffles sound; the peacefulness of walking in the snow is imcomparable.

Nothing compares to it…

While the clashing sound of the ocean waves come seeping onto the shoreline is also intoxicating, I have grown accustomed to the swishing sound of skiing across that newly fallen powder and feel its splash of crispness while seeing yet another part of the beauty tjis country offers… The other side invigorated and yet brings total peace within… The fire place you wind up in front of later also has its deliberate intensity of complete solitude...

You don’t have to listen for the 12 hrs altho I have fallen asleep listening to it often enough..🤗

I love the snow… All seasons really..

I always say the rains are the tears of our angels crying for the sorrow of the world, and the snow is the purification of our immense Earth.. 🤗

Good way to think of weather changes.

Yes it is it’s snowing. That ever beautiful white purity of snow that brings such smiles and fond memories of when we were children, building a snowman and making snow angels and having snowball fights and skiing and sledding and snowmobiling witg so much that this world offers us how could we ever be so distraught over something?

Nice photo and sentiments but I will take Florida. The only time I enjoyed snow was back in my younger days when I skied at Breckenridge, Arapahoe and Copper Mountain, Tahoe and in Switzerland.

Elwood, hello to you!!! Those Swiss Alps will scare you good!!! My brother lived there for a while and I went to visit, skiing was quite a bit different than at Breckenridge, Steamboat Springs etc.

Hope all is well with you and happy Thanksgiving.

Thank you and a very Happy one to you and yours! Yup, Switzerland is a little different. When I visited Geneva I either skied at Mont Blanc which is actually in France, just across the border, or St. Moritz which was my favorite.

Aw, the heck with you “world travelers”, if you really want to ski, try the plains of Kansas, or the North Texas panhandle. Better bring a 4WD truck to pull ya tho, very few areas with enough “downhill” to get up much speed.
🤣🤣🤣🤩🤩🤩
Seriously tho, used to love to ski the Colorado and New Mexico Rockies. 👍👍

The Finns use reindeer instead of trucks! Now that would be a blast!

I missed winter a couple years and it wasn’t the same without it. I guess I would have moved by now if I didn’t like it.
