But when a company sells its products in high volumes it's not difficult to raise the price a few pennies, maintain your sales volume and pass the increased revenue on to the employees in the form of pay raises.
In my neck of the woods the cost of living is low. Minimum wage should be around $18/hour. A couple with a child can survive on that, at least initially, with mom or dad staying home to raise the child.
But.......a company is a free enterprise. If YOU want to start a company and raise prices "a few pennies", then do so. Otherwise, as the old saying goes, MYOB.
