They project that we are wienies just like them.

Government overreach under the guise of public safety and "for the children."

The largest mistake of their lockdown policies was parents seeing exactly what was occurring in education. Although the percentages of public schools enrollment decline (around 2.1%) look small, they are, in real terms, huge. Further, Randi Weingarten and the teacher’s Union showed parents the teacher’s priorities were teachers, not education. At long last, it is costing them.

I would like to offer this for all schools.

All students would be allowed to record all classroom and lecture hall activities. There are very good reasons for this that no right thinking person could disagree with.

1. Sometimes a student doesn't understand everything being taught in class on that date and would need this recording to go to another reasonable adult to help them understand it. Like a parent or care giver or even a fellow student after class.

2. Sometimes they can't remember everything being taught and could use that recording to help them in their homework and future studies.

3. Sometimes the parent might want to look at what is being taught to their child. It is their inalienable right to know this information and the right to protect their children from everything from potential predators and p*******es to those that are attempting to indoctrinate their children in ideological or religious propaganda against their wishes.

4. It would protect the teacher against false accusations about any of their daily activities in the classroom. If our policeman need body cams to protect them from false accusations or illegal or unethical actions when in contact with the general populations and potential felons, then out teachers and children deserve no less.

Logically Right

Totally agree with the idea. I'm not sure how to do it.

I don't think a situation were multiple/many students, in every class, video record every session would be good. Students need to focus on the lecture/activity, not holding a cell phone.

I think that each classroom having a camera (or cameras) with output archived in 1 hour(??) sessions available to download by student/parents on demand. The risk here is it offers the school admin the opportunity to edit or delete material they don't wish to be seen. It also requires significant equipment, compute resources and IT support to keep it all functional.

Have the recordings held off site by a non school entity.
