There is an OPP sub-group called Leaning Left. Its stated purpose is to provide "Threads for left leaning posters to share thoughts sans remarks about lefties being stupid, welfare queens, scum of the earth and any new insults conservatives think up this month."

I call upon all conservatives to eschew & condemn any characterization of liberals, progressives and those leaning left as 'scum of the earth.' Scum is non-volitional and grows on the surfaces of ponds, still streams and estuaries. It can serve as a useful source of nutrition for marine life and is important to the world's ecological systems. It deserves far better than to be equated to liberals.

Yes, Pond Scum can be very beneficial unless the ponds become deadly with too much Summer Heat and to much crap... and then we have "Blooms" that can be deadly to other Plants, Animals (including Humans)

Perhaps but the question isn't about liking the conversations. If you've had more than one good conversation or discussion with an OPP liberal then you've had that many more than I have. Just about every one of their postings drip with contempt. I have nothing but contempt for that.
