Yes, they are .. but they're making slowjoe the "face" of it so he takes all the heat. He's too stupid and drunk with his new title and perks to understand that he is being horribly used while they have their fun at his expense.

I can just imagine them talking into his earbud while he is in front of the public and he obeys ... like "look at your watch, Joe," or "tell them you've been instructed to walk off now, Joe," or "get angry and point your finger at them, Joe" .... all the while laughing at what they can make him do.

Of course you are correct. We both are. I didn't mean to imply that Joe should get a pass; only that his handlers, including his wife, are not good people.

Agree, but as skyrider says, slowjoe doesn't deserve to get off easy. At some level he has to know. And he doesn't care. As long as he can say he made it to the top, got himself and his family rich from grift, and kept his felon son out of prison ... and, of course let's not forget jill. She deserves no sympathy whatsoever.
