The only thing I can figure is it might shut down our entire economy if they went on strike.

We are mandated. Every day!! Carry your route, and half of another. It's a great union job for someone who wants a 40 hour week with benefits.
You want your mail? Well, I can tell you that there aren't enough of us there to handle it, so you might have to wait a day, or five.

You know damn well I was asking why they are not mandated to get the v*****e?? Barely-there-bumblin'-buffoon biden has "mandated" that all other workers get it!

As far as I'm concerned the postal workers can stop their delivery on Sunday. I sometimes see as many as 6 postal carts thru my little community on Sunday, running around like in a maze, delivering HOW MANY individual items??? Looks like a colossal waste of time and personnel. I remember when the town I grew up in only got mail delivered M-Tu-Th-Fr...and somehow we all made it thru the week.

With all due respect Ma'am, I think you didn't get the load of sarcasm I tried to dump on my comment.
The Postal Service is stretched thinner than air at 50,000 ft. for help because they suck to work for.
They add this to it, and they'll have more managers, and supervisors on the street instead of mail carriers.
That'll go well!

One of my coworkers, a young guy, quit the post office and took a part time position where I work. I asked him why at his age he would take such a drastic cut in pay and hours. He basically told me that you cannot imagine how much it sucks to work for the post office.

How bad is it? When you come in from your route, you have to clock to office time. You have 5 minutes at the end of the day for office time. I got called out for going one CLICK over in the office. Not one minute. One CLICK. Think military time.
Micro managed to the nth degree by people who have never delivered a reasonable thougt, much less a letter, or air fryer.

Possibly. I'm not sure how to clock that particular operation so I'm properly paid for it though. I just muddle through, and take their money.

Pull your heads out...there are not that many people willing to walk away from good jobs and benefits over a v*****e when most americans have already gotten a slew of v*****es in their lifetimes.

Corporations are finding that announcements that employees need to be v******ted by a set time like October or November are already seeing a good percentage of already high v******tion rates, maybe a few percent of people will refuse, not enough to cripple businesses.

Hundreds of thousands of federal workers are not going to be fired by Biden, this is just silly rhetoric.

Not sure where you are coming from but slower Joe will loose…. Many safe guards. Can’t change conditions of employment for Federal Employees!

I have worked in bad places, run by i***ts. I am presently at my third large corporation, and each one seems to surpass the last one in three stooges idiocy. I always say, thank God these folks do not run nuclear power plants. That you can survive, even thrive in such a mismanaged environment says a lot about your survival sk**ls.

I hear you archie, our postman arrives between 7 and 8 pm.
That has to be a hell of a long day.

OBVIOUSLY not...that's the problem with the written word and why I usually end mine with "dripping with sarcasm".
