What will it take for the American majority to stop being hijacked by the bad-faith politics of an increasingly radicalized GOP that will stop at nothing to promote death and achieve minority rule?

Most of us in this country, who have chosen life during a p******c, are asked to coddle the unhinged temper tantrums and violent extremism of a conservative base that continues supporting the J*** 6 violent i**********n and attacking our v****g rights, and is willing to sacrifice our children as canaries in the C***D coalmine to fuel their endless culture war during a p******c that has k**led over 600,000 Americans.

Yet their elected leaders and mouthpieces, like Rep. Steve Scalise, are still treated as credible sources and normalized by being invited on news channels and by papers of record to criticize President Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal. Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a cartoonishly hardcore Trump loyalist, and ridiculous pseudo-intellectual Ben Shapiro, whom The New York Times once referred to as “the cool kid’s philosopher” and whose Daily Wire is hugely influential in pushing v*****e misinformation on Facebook, still get coveted platforms in Politico.

Welcome to the Upside Down. Democracy might not survive, but the ratings will be great as the GOP base has become so unhinged and radicalized on a feed bag of disinformation to the point that Crenshaw, a slavish MAGA man, got heckled for refusing to say the e******n was s****n. Even Trump, their god-king, was booed by his adoring cult at a recent rally in Alabama. Did he praise Muslims? Hug an undocumented immigrant? Compliment Obama? Nope. He simply gently recommended that they take a life-saving v*****e, like he did, that will protect them from suffering a tragic, unnecessary death.

The GOP’s New Heroes Are All K**lers, Kooks, and Creeps

You can’t “win over” these folks anymore. They are too far over the bend to get brought back around by Hillbilly Elegies, FDA v*****e approvals, sympathetic profiles of v**ers in rust belt diners, or town halls with undecided v**ers. Facts, common sense, and good-naturedness will not sway their fragile, terrified hearts.

Enough coddling. It’s time to say enough is enough.

Thankfully, Democrats are flexing their slim congressional majorities—a result of Republican gerrymandering—and trying to push back. The 13-person House panel selected to investigate the J*** 6 r**t announced Wednesday that it’s requesting communications from within the Trump White House and other agencies to determine information about the planning and funding of the J*** 6 i**********n that left five people dead. This includes asking telecommunication companies to preserve phone records of congressmen to ascertain what, if anything, they knew about the unfolding r**ts and when.

Republicans like GOP House “leader” Kevin McCarthy have already dismissed the investigation as a political witch hunt. I mean I also would be dismissive of an investigation that would potentially incriminate myself. After all, McCarthy has already admitted he was in touch with Trump from inside the Capitol on the day of the i**********n, and Rep. Jordan has also acknowledged he was in conversation with Trump. Even though a recent report said the FBI found “scant evidence” that the i**********n was a result of an “organized plot,” one of the main organizers of the “Stop the Steal” rally, conservative activist Ali Alexander, has claimed he worked in tandem with three GOP lawmakers. “We four schemed up of putting maximum pressure on Congress while they were v****g,” Alexander confessed in a since-deleted video, pointing to Reps. Andy Biggs, Mo Brooks and Paul Gosar.

This Trump Wannabe Just Might Be the Worst of the Rotten Bunch

When he isn’t busy giving keynote speeches at white nationalist rallies and tweeting w***e s*********t talking points, Gosar is busy accusing C*****l p****e of “lying in wait’” to “execute” Ashli Babbitt, a radicalized i**********nist who was t***sformed after her death into a “martyr” by Trump and the GOP. “I know that day I saved countless lives,” veteran officer Lt. Michael Byrd said in an interview with Lester Holt on NBC Nightly News finally revealing his identity after enduring months of r****t h**e and death threats. Thankfully, Officer Byrd was just internally cleared by his department for any wrongdoing, but that didn’t stop Tucker Carlson and Russian state TV from weaponizing his Blackness and attacking him and alleging that he “executed” Babbitt.

Meanwhile, Brooks had more to say in support of the failed terrorist and Trump v**er who streamed his pathetic attempt to blow up the Library of Congress last week than he did about Officer Brian Sicknick, who died trying to protect the Capitol. Recently, Brooks confirmed he was wearing body armor during his J*** 6 speech to the Trump supporters who would later overrun the nation’s Capitol.

“Should I wear a striped tie? Cuff links? Bow tie? Body armor?” is a totally normal, daily sartorial debate for elected officials. Meanwhile, his colleagues who didn’t get the memo and were barricaded, protected by Capitol Hill officers, fearing for their lives.

Those include Rep. Andrew Clyde, a hypocrite whose commitment to his extremist base and their attack on our democracy is so great that he tried to gaslight the world by claiming afterward that the r**t was a “normal tourist visit.” In reality, new reports reveal that the Secret Service warned C*****l P****e about violent threats a day before the i**********n, but due to intelligence lapses did not prepare for a large-scale assault.

Meanwhile, the same 21 GOP officials who’ve attacked the Squad for supporting “defund the police,” v**ed against awarding congressional medals to the C*****l P****e officers who saved their lives. Along with Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene, some of these congressmen are holding rallies in support of the individuals who were arrested for their part in the i**********n.

It’s not surprising any more to hear w***e s*********t conspiracy theories parroted by GOP elected officials and mainstreamed by Fox News hosts, or domestic terror threats like Q***n embraced by former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and tolerated by Kevin McCarthy.

But it is still shocking, and should be a big news story, to hear these pols embrace a lunatic conspiracy that just radicalized a young father who speared his two daughters to death because he was convinced his wife “possessed serpent DNA and had passed it onto his children.”

These radicalized Republicans fighting to maintain minority rule do so in no small part thanks to the aid and comfort provided by “moderate” Democrats like Sens. Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin. Even though the House just passed the John Lewis V****g Rights Act to strengthen federal oversight of state e******n laws, it has no chance of passing thanks to Senate Republicans who will filibuster it to death. And instead of v****g to k**l the filibuster, an archaic instrument of Jim Crow, these Democrats will instead maintain the fiction of “bipartisanship” with colleagues who are actively supporting a radicalized cult that supported a violent c**p that could have k**led them.

Why Trump Is Anointing Ashli Babbitt as MAGA’s First Martyr

If there’s a silver lining to these dark clouds, perhaps it’s that death and economic pain are great motivators for the majority to wake up and say “enough” to the right wing’s multi-pronged culture war. With the FDA approval of the P****r v*****e, government agencies and private entities are moving forward with v*****e mandates. Meanwhile, these enraged zombies for w***e s*******y are now assaulting and harassing doctors who are simply providing health guidelines at town halls, bullying our teachers and school boards, fighting mask mandates, resisting v*****e mandates and doing everything to combat the overwhelming majority—nearly 70 percent of us—who have decided to choose life.

Delta Air Lines said it will begin charging unv******ted workers $200 per month, citing steep hospital bills for their unv******ted employees who got C****-**. Tyson is now requiring all of its U.S. employees to be v******ted by Nov. 1, even as thousands are employed in Arkansas, which just ran out of ICU beds.

It’s too late to convince people determined to believe otherwise that the p******c is real, deadly, and requires them to wear masks and take v*****es. It’s been nearly two years. We could have reopened safely by now, saved thousands of lives, and protected our front-line workers if we simply followed social distancing and masking.

Instead, a radicalized minority enabled by demagogic governors continues to choose death, which Republicans are trying, insanely, to rebrand as “freedom.”

To quote Batman Begins, “I won’t k**l you, but I don’t have to save you.” That minority may have a right to choose death, but they certainly don’t have a right to infect us with their v***s by coming to work, to sporting events and into our children’s schools.

Also, it’s encouraging to see U.S. C*****l P****e officers fight back against Republicans who are trying to gaslight the J*** 6 i**********n. Seven officers are now suing Trump and those who organized the Stop the Steal r**t that k**led five people and injured more than 140 officers.

We are the majority. We have the numbers. However, it’s not enough for the rest of us to be complacent and simply acknowledge the multiple threats to our democracy. It’s time to flex and fight back on all fronts to save lives and our democracy from a conservative h**e machine willing to attack t***h, science, safety, and democracy in its desperate, violent attempt to preserve white rule.

Yo, Michael, if you fail to identify the author of an article you copy and paste from another website, you leave the impression that you wrote it. I knew the moment I began to read your post that you didn't write it. Some would say you've plagiarized the work of the author.

In the case of this stinking pile of whale s**t, the author is the Daily Beast columnist, Wajahat Ali. Go figure.

I've posted a response to an earlier screed by Wajahat Ali published in the NYT . It's along the same lines as this crap you came up with. This is how you avoid losing credibility when you copy and paste a writer's work without attribution. Having said this, your lack of credibility was never in question.

The following is from a free lance journalist who writes for The Federalist, and has published pieces in the NYPost, NYT, FoxNews, USAToday and others.

My Open Apology To Wajahat Ali On Behalf Of All Trump V**ers

We know we have let Wajahat down, and we will promise to do better through his shining example.

By David Marcus

Hey, Wajahat, how’s it going, man? I see that you are catching hell for your New York Times hit piece on the more than 70 million Americans who v**ed for Donald Trump. And, you know, I just want to apologize to you, on their behalf and mine, for not heeding your really important advice about what our political views should be. You took time out of your busy day to insult us, and we should have respected that more.

You are to be commended. You did what any regular guy would do when trying to understand Trump v**ers. You went to your speaking agency and had them book you gigs in Trump country, those sad little corners of America where you can get breakfast for under 30 dollars. That was the smart way to go. First of all you get paid, second you are assured a podium to literally stand above the rubes you are trying to convert. It’s frankly incredible that you changed nobody’s mind, but that’s their fault, not yours.

The important thing to remember during this trying time is that you are right and we are wrong. We wanted stupid things like constitutional Supreme Court justices, no new wars, tax cuts, a record stock market, criminal justice reform, peace deals in the Middle East, and c****av***s v*****es in record time. Selfish things. You wanted a president you could be proud of! Why? I don’t fully understand, but it seems very high-minded.

Oh, hey, by the way, I noticed in your Times byline it says you’re a playwright! That’s awesome. I’m a theater guy too. Audiences, am I right? Such i***ts, buffoons really. You’re right that they never understand how stupid they are, how meaningless their life experiences are compared to ours, all they can learn from us.

You should have a closet full of Tony Awards by now and instead you have to s***e away at the New York Times, and on speaking engagements, and yuck it up with Don Lemon and Rick Wilson, making fun of poor white people with funny accents who don’t know geography. That was outstanding, man, you freakin’ nailed it. Brilliant! Some day I’ll have to show you my impression of the stupid immigrant Muslims who live in my Brooklyn neighborhood. You’d love it.

Anyway, I’m writing to say that I apologize for all of us who v**ed for Trump. I know we disappointed you. I mean, what is the point of living in a free country if there are going to be dumb people who don’t want to submit to single-party rule? Right? You know better than I do that all of your political ideas are the right, proper, and correct ones, ours are evil, r****t, and tiresome. But hey, you made an effort, you reached out, and you should be thanked for that, so thank you.

If I can shift for just one second away from how amazing you are — not because you aren’t amazing, because you are totally amazing — but I wanted to sing the praises of The New York Times opinion page for a moment too. Now that the page is run by woke 14-year-olds and f**e historians, it finally gets it. It’s an “opinion page” not an “opinions page.” It professes THE opinion — the one, right, true, reasonable opinion. Yours. Everyone at Cipriani says so.

Anyway, I’ve probably already taken too much of your time. I just want to say how sorry I am that you have to live in a country where not everyone agrees with you. I know you’re disappointed in us. We haven’t lived up to your expectations.

I won’t ask you to forgive us — I mean, we aren’t forgivable, obviously — but I will ask something of you. Please continue to lecture us, oh playwright of t***h and wisdom, as to how irredeemable we are. We need it. A lot of us are stupid Christians who think it’s God who is supposed to judge us when all along it’s been you.

Some of us are beginning to see that now, so please, keep it up. Keep going with the condescending insults. You are really starting to break through. What we have needed all along is a smart ass with an inflated ego to tell us how stupid we are, and you are really good at it! So thank you, and again, apologies, we don’t deserve you.

Sincerely,

Stupid Trump V**ers You Rightfully Disdain

Meanwhile, these enraged zombies for w***e s*******y are now assaulting and harassing doctors who are simply providing health guidelines at town halls, bullying our teachers and school boards, fighting mask mandates, resisting v*****e mandates, and doing everything to combat the overwhelming majority—nearly 70 percent of us—who have decided to choose life.

To quote Batman Begins, “I won’t k**l you, but I don’t have to save you.” That minority may have a right to choose death, but they certainly don’t have a right to infect us with their v***s by coming to work, to sporting events, and into our children’s schools.

It’s time to flex and fight back on all fronts to save lives and our democracy from a conservative h**e machine willing to attack t***h, science, safety, and democracy in its desperate, violent attempt to preserve the white rule.

No i**********n.
Despite the adoption of the term by many in the media, there has been a growing disconnect with the actual cases in court. Indeed, a new report from Reuters disclosed that the FBI has apparently struggled to support the account of a coordinated “i**********n” on J*** 6. Reuters’s FBI sources said that, despite months of intense investigation, they could find "scant evidence" of any "organized plot" and instead found that virtually all of the cases are “one-offs.” One agent explained, “Ninety to 95 percent of these is one-off cases. Then you have 5 percent, maybe, of these m*****a groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages."
In other words, they found a protest that became a runaway r**t as insufficient security pr********ns quickly collapsed. While there clearly were those set upon trashing the Capitol, most people were shown milling about in the halls; many took selfies and actively described the scene on social media.
Calling these people “r****rs" does not minimize what they did — or undermine the legitimacy of their punishment. However, there is wisdom and even the chance for resolution when we “call things by their proper name.”

What "minority" is your reference? Your article is nothing but a projection of your delusion.
