Why I loved George Carlin

He was pretty crass and unafraid of dirty language, but George Carlin frequently cut right to the point.

You are quite correct in your assessment of George Carlin, but he remains one of my favorite comedians of all time.

The downside of my memories of him was his getting more crass and vulgar the older he got. In his prime, though, he was a genius with language and his insights. :thumbup:

Got it right didn't he. His last album was great . We definitely miss the guy.

Slatten49 - From what I see here on OPP an increase in crass and vulgar language seems to grow in a lot of people as they age. I know I'm less and less concerned what others think of my language as I grow older, and I'm not even funny!

Good point, Paul! :thumbup:

I would like to think that in the real world, a number of posters would address others in a more civil, proper manner...both in language and tone. I find myself going the other direction. I am much more mellow than I was in my youth, but...I'm only 65, :lol: .
