The stock market is vey much the place to stick you money.. but watch it.. the Market was very good to me but I moved it all to a safe account when I retired in 2003.. and yes, I do wish I had stuffed it all back in 2010/11. But I followed the profecional advice and went for the very low risk..

all that aside, It is common knowledge that the strong stock market only effect a minority of people in the US.. the walthy do 90% of the investing.. if you are not in the market it does no good at all.. so keeping the market strong at any cost is only good for trump and his fellow RBs.. glad you have done well..

Kool aid stands.. one of my favorite gold courses... a public one in Minneapolis back side was next to houses and every year that I can recall back to high school days.. some kids would pull a wagon onto the course and seel kool aide, pop or even ice water.. did a great business and I looked forward to it as did everyone I knew..

then one year a complaint was lodged with the city and they got shut down.. big deal for that summer.. lot of different kids doing it and only the retail bis selling beer/pop complained.. a couple year later it died down and kids were back, pulling wagons of pop etc and running like a deer when attendants headed their way..

so no, I missed little, did well and have no regrets.. could have done better but that is always the case.. hold too long and you lose..

You should recall with President Obama, we had at least 7 consecutive years of growth without artificial boosts to the market.. trump did nothing for growth at all except the market and now we are in a pickle for fighting any economic condition we do not like.. the tools have all been used up during a time when those tools should have been sheltered and strengthened for future needs..

But with things going well now, we shall hope for the future as well..

No artificial boosts to the economy under Bathhouse Boy? You must be kidding. Did you miss QE1 and QE2 which the Feds had to do to keep Bathhouse Boy's very weak economy afloat. Nothing like printing $$$ trillions to keep the economy going but the sad part is that the money was supposed to be spent on shovel ready jobs, which were never ready, and then ovommit gave,$$$$ billions to his special interest groups and his buds who then kicked back $$$ funds to him so he could buy his mega mansion on Martha's Vineyard right on the Atlantic Coastline by the rising C*****e C****e seas. Ovommit had it all worked out and conned you rednecks.

QE1 is the nickname given to the Federal Reserve's initial round of quantitative easing. That's when the Fed massively increased its standard open market operations. It purchased the debt from its member banks. The debt was mortgage-backed securities, consumer loans, or Treasury bills, bonds, and notes. The Fed bought them through its trading desk at the New York Federal Reserve Bank.

The QE1 program purchases lasted from December 2008 until March 2010.1

As for those shovel ready jobs, they were part of the recovery in Minnesota and Wisconsin.. were you living in a red state which government refused to participate in the Democrat directed recovery, just so a black man would never get the credit??

If they did not work for you, write your state rep and b***h to them..

You sure seem determined to rewrite the recovery history to match republican wishes.. I have told you before wishes do not matter.. facts count..

You should also keep in mind that the democratic party is not as corrupt as your republicans and kickbacks are not standard.. they did not happen as you wish they had..

so many wishes and so little reality.. You can do better then that..

I have just the meme for this post, but this darn machine I call a computer will not work ... must be the heat..

Hot at your house??

Normally, in terms of heat, y'all don't wan'na compare Minnesota to Texas.

But, lately, you guys have been catching Hell, while we've had a cooler than usual summer...so far.

My extended family is h*****g around for a week or so.. all over the place..

One from the Seattle area told me that they had 117 degrees one day in the big heat bubble..

This could nearly make me look forward to winter.. it will come in due time..

I truly envy that young golfer you show with each post.. great kid..

That is my Grandson, 'lil Ben. That picture is of him after his first birdie. He is 7 years old and just started golfing 6 weeks ago. That was a 120 yd par 3 in the photo. He drives straight down the middle of the fairway off the tee.

His Dad (my son Ben) and his Family live in Mather, Ca., a suburb of Sacramento.

I read your diatribe and can only think you know very little about America, the vast majority of the population and the conservative thinking. I have traveled around the world for the better part of fifty years. I have seen the policies of U.S. presidents going back to Eisenhower, and a better American President has not been seen. The only one close was Reagan. President Trump has been the only President in recent history to truly put America first. I all his dealings as President he did as best he could given that the swamp dwellers were against him putting their own power and greed first before their constituants that they swore to represent. He was truly a great President.

You're more than welcome. Veterans (especially those of your standing) always get my attention and respect. You and others have earned it. Though we Veterans may sometimes disagree, reasonable men may have reasonable differences. We can disagree without being disagreeable.

I am a USMC Viet Nam Vet, 1967-69.

BTW, though I agree almost wholeheartedly with his "diatribe", I was not the author of this cut 'n paste. The author's name, David A. Hopkins, is posted just below his article.
