Should V**er ID laws be uniform for the entire United States?

So many of the uninformed and mis informed conservatives and their supporters on OPP think that they, and only they, know that v**er id should be mandatory to prevent v***r f***d.

Too bad they don't know that there is NO constitutional requirement for v**er ID, and that v****g laws are left up to the individual states.

And only 36 states require any form of v**er ID.

To help educate the various nitwits and nimrods, the attached link will provide the current state requirements for v****g.

And since the majority of states that require photo ID are the red southern states, the legislators must think that the v**ers in their states cannot be trusted.

Without question, the v****g laws should be identical in ALL states and elsewhere where they are held.

It is actually easier for the poll workers too. No chance of misspelling or any other kind of confusion.

We've come to the point in our history where ultra partisanship rules, and that means whichever party controls a state, that party can usually put rules in place declaring who will have no trouble v****g and who will. 36 Republican controlled states are doing that right now. We need national standards and rules which override state regulations so that EVERY citizen regargless of party has free and convenient access to the b****t box.

V**er Id is only one part of minimizing/combating v***r f***d.

Specific Constitutional requirements are absent for many things in our country. When not explicitly defined, these items are relegated to the States or the People. The Constitution explicitly puts e******ns in the hands of State Legislatures.

So it's either 36/50 (72%) or 36/57 (63% - Obama, Beaverton Oregon Mar 27, 2015) states which constitutes a clear majority, not "only" that require a form of ID.

As both a nimrod and a nitwit, I had to actually read the referenced article. Now I'm educated, you dolt.

Four out of ten (40%) states that require photo ID does not constitute a majority (southern red), you double dolt!
(Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi & Tennessee).

The legislatures in those states know that people will lie and c***t at the v****g booth.

You and your ilk conjure an issue when there is none.

1) Know when your local e******ns are held. (usually November)
2) Know your polling places
3) Get an approved state ID
4) Show up and v**e.

It is June. You have 5 months to take care of items 1, 2 and 3. If you can't get that done in time, you really do not want to v**e.

Regargless, change the constitution if you want to have federal e******n control. Tell me again what branch of government serves as an example of being well run? Post Office? IRS?

The problem with item 2 is that some locals haven't any polling places, they're hours away, or so few requiring viewers to stand in line for hours. And yes, I think the post office runs very well. Mailed a letter from point A to B lately? ATC also runs very well, again have you flown from point A to B? But I doubt the FAA can run the mail. I bet of trump got money from the postal service, it would be tremendous? Also, those states You mentioned usually v**e for Republicans so are you really calling the majority of Republican v**ers liars and c***ts?

No one ever said it was. What their saying is we need to tighten up our v****g to make sure only Americans v**e and no one can alter it to suit their wants. With all the i******s flooding this country we would be foolish to think that there were none trying or foreign countries. In all other democratic countries v**er ID is mandatory we as a country are behind in this .Being benevolent to those in need is one thing being stupid about it is whole different story. As a country we are falling behind in to many ways Russia,China,N.Korea all are passing us in military strength we are also falling behind in education we use to be in the top 10 now we list 27th WE are falling way behind and this BS their passing is pushing us further down the line. If we as Americans don't come together as we use to be and agree on basic ideals we will fall and cease to exist as a country period. Conservatives want our rights upheld freedom of speech, freedom of religion 2nd amendment a strong military a high end education for all children no c*******t ideology in our education no teaching r****t bs in classroom just to name a few what do u want in your country?

To bad that you make asinine false assumptions (fairly frequently).

I believe most Conservatives are well aware of the rules regarding v****g. And most AMERICANS wnat to have photo ID in e******ns.

The only group fighting it is - democrats. Why is that?

I don't believe anyone is 2 hours away from a polling place. If they are, plan for it and get an absentee b****t.

If you want to avoid a long line, v**e early. If v****g is not important enough for you to wait in line, don't v**e. If you are physically challenged, get an absentee b****t. You have 5 months.

The Post Office is a huge money loser. In cities the PO is riddled with unionized incompetence. Meanwhile, Commercial carriers are efficient and profitable. I do not know what ATC is. FAA from an in-air safety standpoint does well.

Trump made money for the post office by leasing their DC building and turning it into a luxury hotel. Although I'm challenged to understand why you bring Trump into this thread. Is he living Rent Free in you head, still? Do you still need him to be your "devil" to distract you from what the left is doing to our country?
