Wh**ever government you have in mind, it certainly is not ours. The 2nd amendment does not specify any type of weapon, and the National Firearms Act of 1934 limits civilian ownership of fully automatic firearms to those who obtain a Class 3 FFL.

If you have the money and the time to obtain a Class 3 FFL, you can legally purchase an automatic weapon. However, the cost of getting a Class 3 Firearms License and the cost of a fully automatic weapon are nothing compared to the cost of feeding the thing. You gotta have the big bucks to finance something like that.

The only thing a raw story is good for is wiping your ass.

The right has misconstrued the second amendment since day one. The founders intended to have a m*****a instead of a free-standing army (they had a bad experience with King Georges) and if you look at the Whiskey R*******n is it a prime example of how the founders intended the m*****a to be used when Washington called up the m*****a from four states to put down the r*******n. This is why the m*****a had to be "well regulated" as they had to be prepared to come when called and do what they were told.
