US lost more tax revenue than any other developed country in 2018 due to Trump tax cuts, new report says
PUBLISHED THU, DEC 5 20195:18 PM ESTUPDATED THU, DEC 5 20197:06 PM EST
Ganesh Setty

KEY POINTS
U.S. tax revenue as a proportion of GDP drops the most of any country in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in 2018, according to a new report.
Thanks to Trump’s tax cuts, the U.S. tax-to-GDP ratio falls 2.5% from 2017 to 2018, the OECD finds.
The 2017 tax cuts dramatically alter the U.S. tax landscape for the first time in decades, though the promised surge in economic growth and investment does not result.

Funny how you Trump h**ers used to say we didn't get a tax cut but now want to say we paid less, resulting in less revenue.

Make up your minds h**ers.

The ballooning of the national debt was exacerbated by tax breaks for the rich which also reduced the income from taxes while allowing corporations to buy back stocks. The Russian pipeline sends natural gas to Europe, not the same as US gas. The keystone pipeline benefits Canadians who don’t want that dirty muck crossing their country. Maybe you have not noticed, but electric vehicles are taking over, the need for gasoline will be greatly reduced in the near future. I will be glad when we are no longer subject to the whims of the industry. Recently, when the pipeline was shut down on the east coast, the prices shot up in California. That was simply gouging for no reason but greed.

If you have followed past budgets and economic situations, you would find that cutting taxes increases the tax intake of the U.S. Government. Same with decreases in corporate taxes. That's just the way the economy works. Biden's chief reason for stopping the U.S. Pipeline was to protect the environment. Do you think that maybe the environment in Europe is in a vacuum and wh**ever is done there will not affect our environment? Those electric vehicles are going to need electricity from somewhere. Any idea how much is generated by coal? I guess we can just erect more windmills, maybe everyone will have his own. I don't know what they're going to use to de-ice them once the f****l f**l is locked up underground. Of course, nuclear energy is the only answer to that problem that we have to date. Any idea how the environmentalists feel about nuclear? Liberals don't seem to think ahead too far about what comes next. Just tax the rich! Don't worry too much about what ensues, the Government will take car of us.

Coal is obsolete. Those of us who care about the environment will keep pushing for environmentally safer options.

The rich, the corporations, they benefited from the tax cuts. The working class got screwed by the GOP as usual.

Twist anyway you want troll. Under Trump we had more revenue come in. Period. Percentage wise if it was less compared to GDP is a function of the GDP. We don’t have a revenue problem. We have a spending problem.

Nice talking points. Feel all warm and cuddly now. Let's have a workable solution. Don't have one. didn't think so. Progressives are all hot air.

Ever give any thought to sustaining the economy? Maybe that's not as important as keeping the temp from increasing a degree, which is going to happen anyway.

We are racing towards a climate catastrophe. We have to slow things down while we find better methods that produce less carbon dioxide.

Yes, but if he doesn't say what conservatives want to hear then he is a liar and part of f**e news. Don't you know how this works by now Slatten?
