This started out as a reply to a woody posting about suppressing the v**er rolls. It ended up as its own topic. What do you say about only informed v**ers v****g, on the left and right.

I would like to see less people v****g. The left goes on and on about everyone has a right to v**e and we need everyone to v**e. But why? Because the more they get to v**e, the more you get the uninformed v****g and v****g for their little group's issues like race things or religious things or sexual things(?)s and these are things the democrat party tries to exploit. But this does not do anything for the overall health of the American ruling classes.

What we need are informed v**ers taking the time to learn about the various candidates and not just what the main Stream Media and Social Media and advertising promotes. And the result is some of the most horrible legislators and governors and the worst of all, presidents and vice presidents.

I know everyone can v**e for wh**ever candidate they want and we can't stop them. That is their right. But just think for a moment. In Chicago every local e******n we v**e for the Metropolitan Sanitary District. Who the hell are they. Pick three, listed under party labels. You can barely find any commentary even in the local paper's recommendations. Goals, experience, relevant education? Nothing. And they are spending millions and billions of our dollars and our basements still flood. And v**ers are v****g party, not qualifications.

Now think of Presidents. What do you know? Some read a lot and do pay attention. But most, or all to damn many, v**e on what they heard between an ad for erectile dysfunction on the front end and what sponge should a woman shove up her Hoo Ha once a month, or diarrhea issues on the back end. Ask them and they only have TV talking points and no facts and mostly false information. And the evening news is horribly biased and full of h**e, lies, cover ups, selective coverage, and minimal t***hs.

And now we have a president who definitely seems to be slipping into full scale senility, who talked about unity and ability but only delivers 'My way or the highway" extremism, and a man of minimal accomplishments in forty years in government. This time we knew what the other candidate was. Like him or not. But what did we know about biden. Certainly not his Chinese and Ukraine connections and the investigations into his son. Social Media blocked it, and Trump, and Main Steam media just didn't cover anything negative about him.

It was no different with Trump. Clinton, Romney. McCain, obama, (oh yeah, a wonderful handsome black man who hid his past, and had no real accomplishments. But don't question anything or you are a r****t). Kerry, Gore, Bush. They hide the t***h and we suffer. Wouldn't you actually like to read a factual paper on his goals, accomplishments and fact checking by an independent bi-partisan panel. Wouldn't you actually like to be assured the v**ers around you, also actually knew what and who they were v****g for.

No, I don't want more opportunities for more uninformed v**ers. I want informed v**ers noting, who actually know unbiased facts. That is what America needs.

You may be right. All anyone needs to know is what party they belong to. Why bother finding more out . If they were no good they wouldn't have made it this far. She's kinda cute. Oh he's black. They are already there and know what's what. I don't like they way they spell their name. Wow he used to be in sports. He said the F word on TV.

LOTS of reasons people v**e the way they do. I don't like the two party system. But without it we would still find people on both sides of the issues. Just maybe not the same people on every issue. What about most v**es is President . Second most is vice President. Deal With It.

You are right about unqualified people running the things but the logistics of qualifying v**ers would be huge

Another approach might be to qualify candidates. Must be able to pass a federal employee security clearance appropriate to the office they are running for might be one way.

That sounds like a non partisan e******n. Might not be a bad idea in that. But the vp would almost certainly be of another party. Wouldn't it be nice if they had to be in on all cabinet meetings and private meetings. Can't make decisions, but wouldn't taht be a nice check and balance type of thing.

Anyhow, I know it can't be done. It would be suppression of v**ers at a massive scale. But I still would like to see more informed v**ers then more v**ers who don't know Schitte about what they are doing

Cheers

Great idea !
How will you sort out the v**ers you don’t want to v**e ?
How will you know who is uninformed?
How will you sort out the ones that are detached from reality
claiming 45 Won the e******n ?
Or are those the ones you want to v**e ?
Maybe you should just stay out of it.

Stop trying to control the outcome. It makes you look like a N**i.
You’re not supposed to know who won the e******n, before the e******n.
That defeats the purpose.
Capeesh ?

You are right that the logistics of qualifying v**ers would be huge. So far I haven't figured out a way around that and how do you make people read something and how could you possibly prove that they did. So far all I can figure out is how to comply the unbiased information. Maybe a mass mailing to all v**ers, based on the variious races in all locations. Again, a massive undertaking. Maybe newspapers putting out an unbiased supplement. We can only dream of better e******ns until we come to so,mething perfect and then something new will coe along

That security clearance check up sure would help. But what would you do about an obama who would hide his past. He would have to reveal it and then would we have the right to know everything.

Cheers

Restore Civics classes at school, reminding every American that it is their DUTY to participate in their own governance, which involves far more than just going to the polls. They must learn what the issues are in their local and State government ( national issues are another matter ) and how it affects themselves and their families, know who is running for what office and research them carefully ( essentially ignoring campaign rhetoric ), then making informed, logical choices at the polls.

Trying to figure out who is, and who is not, informed BEFORE they go to the polls, and stopping them ONLY is a fools errand.

Agree it would be nice if people who cared enough to participate in our e******ns took the time to study the candidates. Maybe reform the campaign laws. All federal e******ns are subsidized anyway . Maybe instead of just giving the candidates money they could make them use it to inform v**ers of all previous political activity . An incumbent would have to show how they v**ed on every issue and list all bills or actions with their name on it. Also repeat all campaign promises and show how much they accomplished on them. Also they shouldn't be allowed to comment on other candidates except in debate. All air time should be about themselves and their plans as well as their past political history. And it should be fact checked before it's allowed on air.
