Bless their soulless and cruel little hearts in Texas. Oy vey, this is a nation of laws for the common good and justice for all our citizens, not just crazed and irresponsible and insensitive gun nuts. And you have to be a serious nut to pass such warped and egregious legislation. The GOP hot on the campaign trail to completely fracture our Republic. There is absolutely no argument to sustain this law. Read the 2nd Amendment, please. And while you are doing that research, look up infringed for a real smack down.

The solution for so many morons with guns............................is to let many more morons have guns.

Makes sense to me.

As usual, you don't have a clue, you just rant, rave, whine, cry, and sling ignorant insults.

Why do you always take the side of the same scumbags that liberals produce?

Guns Prevent Thousands of Crimes Every Day, Research Shows.
Guns prevent an estimated 2.5 million crimes a year, or 6,849 every day.
Most often, the gun is never fired, and no blood (including the criminals) is shed.
Every year, 400,000 life-threatening violent crimes are prevented using firearms.
60 percent of convicted felons admitted that they avoided committing crimes when they knew the victim was armed. Forty percent of convicted felons admitted that they avoided committing crimes when they thought the victim might be armed.
Felons report that they avoid entering houses where people are at home because they fear being shot.
Fewer than 1 percent of firearms are used in the commission of a crime.

We have a thing called the 2nd Amendment and the government doesn't "let" us have weapons. The right to self-defense is God-given and NO gun regulations are Constitutional.

Because they are right on guns and you are left out of compassion.

Guns Prevent Thousands of Crimes Every Day, Resear... (show quote)

Excellent, sort of, argument to my thread, but I appreciate the effort. Yet do you know the percentage of those wounded or k**led by gun violence. Highly prohibitive figures, nauseating. But so is your crime figures.

Why did they have to defend against "an estimated 2.5 million crimes a year, or 6,849 every day"? where did those guns come from? And if not guns to threaten, what?

Not nearly as many as k**led by cars, alcohol, cigarettes or WAR, which YOU helped get back on track.

"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government."
George Washington
“Certainly one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government, no matter how popular and respected, is the right of the citizens to keep and bear arms. [...] the right of the citizens to bear arms is just one guarantee against arbitrary government and one more safeguard against a tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possible.”
Rep. Hubert H. Humphrey
“Historical examination of the right to bear arms, from English antecedents to the drafting of the Second Amendment, bears proof that the right to bear arms has consistently been, and should still be, construed as an individual right.”
U.S. District Judge Sam Cummings.
“Foolish liberals who are trying to read the Second Amendment out of the Constitution by claiming it's not an individual right or that it's too much of a safety hazard don’t see the danger of the big picture. They're courting disaster by encouraging others to use the same means to eliminate portions of the Constitution they don't like.”
Alan Dershowitz.
“If gun laws in fact worked, the sponsors of this type of legislation should have no difficulty drawing upon long lists of examples of criminal acts reduced by such legislation. That they cannot do so after a century and a half of trying -- that they must sweep under the rug the southern attempts at gun control in the 1870-1910 period, the northeastern attempts in the 1920-1939 period, the attempts at both Federal and State levels in 1965-1976 -- establishes the repeated, complete and inevitable failure of gun laws to control serious crime.”
Senator Orrin Hatch.
“The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them.”
Joseph Story, U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice.
“Nowhere else in the Constitution does a 'right' attributed to 'the people' refer to anything other than an individual right. What is more, in all six other provisions of the Constitution that mention 'the people,' the term unambiguously refers to all members of the political community, not an unspecified subset...The Second Amendment extends, prima facie, to all instruments that constitute bearable arms...The very text of the Second Amendment implicitly recognizes the pre-existence of the right and declares only that it ‘shall not be infringed.'”
Antonin Scalia, U.S. Supreme Court Justice

I reserve my compassion for those who deserve it, just as I reserve my ammunition for the scumbags who earn it.
