I went, and spent a few days with my brother at his west Texas ranch, and this is the result. Had we been serious h****rs instead of two brothers who rarely see each other, we could have multiplied this many times over.

Where I was is a Texan paradise. Wild, with a dab of civilization. Beautiful, rough country that is bright green with all of the flowers, and wildlife that goes with it.
Some that even doesn't go with it.

Here ya go Willy!!
Put some salve on that red ass of yours!!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Nice photo. You are sure to get a lot of meals out of that plus a great tanned hide. While I don't hunt much any more, as long as nothing is wasted, that is wonderful. Who ever processes and tans or makes it ready to mount, the end result should be great.

I sure would like to bag one of those hogs. My grandaughter is a taxidermist who would love to do a mount for me.

I get what you're saying, but do you process, and tan the hide of every mouse, or rat you catch?

They're that bad here.

Rats and mice are vermin, neither food or decorations, just disease spreaders that should be eliminated the quicker the better.

I did not know that. Is the meat usable for mixing with commercial dog food? I just h**e the idea of wasting things that can be used even if it is for fertilizer.

The meat could probably be used for a lot of things, I guess.
Thing is, they eat anything, and everything, including each other. They're covered in fleas, ticks, and Lord knows what else. They're just nasty.

Which would be why the Lord designates swine as unclean food. Scavengers were never meant to be eaten by man

Sounds like they might make good fertilizer, assuming that you could k**l all the vermin
on them.

You should see the damage one of these things can do to farmland or any land. Unbelievable destruction. Plus they’re not native to the area.

I have only tasted it once. Pretty tasty!

I'm gonna get me one. There are wild hogs in Oregon if you know where to go.

When Peter was visited by God in his dream he was instructed that he could eat Swine because they had been made clean

I don't think so. That particular passage was God's way of telling Pater that Gentiles were to be offered the salvation of Christ. Peter was not to consider Gentiles as unclean. And as Jesus said, He came to fulfill the law. He wasn't going to change one jot or tittle. Food laws are not a salvation issue, but they still stand. God made us, he knows what's good for us, and that hasn't changed.
