MELBOURNE, FL – Gov. Ron DeSantis is one of the most popular governors in America*, according to a new poll conducted by Pulse Opinion Research for U.S. Term Limits.
Statewide, 64 percent of Florida v**ers approve of the job DeSantis is doing, versus just 24 percent who disapprove. Support for DeSantis is broad across nearly all political and demographic groups.
Among Republicans, 85 percent approve of the Governor while 10 percent disapprove. Among independents, 60 percent approve and 23 percent disapprove. DeSantis is even performing well with Democrats, garnering 46 percent approval versus 39 percent who disapprove.
Additionally, DeSantis' net approval is higher among Hispanic v**ers (62%-20%) than among the general public. Overall, 62 percent of Hispanic v**ers, 68 percent of white v**ers, and 40 percent of African-American v**ers approve of DeSantis.

Why Ron DeSantis’s 2024 Stock Is Rising
Over the past year, Mr. DeSantis rejected the advice of most public-health experts and reopened the state’s economy early, resisted mask mandates and other restrictions, and made Florida one of the most permissive settings in the U.S.
He received praise from Republicans and scathing criticism from Democrats while sparring regularly with the media—a practice that endeared him to fans and allies of Mr. Trump.
Some decisions, such as requiring schools to offer in-person instruction starting last fall, proved popular across a wide political spectrum.

If they were just to enforce the laws already on the books we wouldn’t have most of the problems we do now!

Saying Governor DeSantis is "permissive" suggests other states are restrictive. They are. DeSantis is running the state the way the whole country is supposed to be run. We the People are given information about a p******c.
This was conflictive, doubtful and filled with uncertainty. Why should We the People listen to these fools ? So the Governor lets We the People think for ourselves, decide for ourselves [ with large-crowd exceptions, other common-sense situations]. You want to wear a mask ? Go ahead, wear the damn thing. Get in my face about me NOT wearing a mask [usually with a north-east accent]...and I will insult you to the point that you will be forced to REALLY show how strongly you feel about wearing that petrie-dish on your face. KEEP your liberal, shepherd-following,obedient milk-kneed opinions to yourself. Our infection rate stays stubbornly high as more and more Yankees come down to the Free State. Saps. My condo has TRIPLED in value in twenty months, I will thank you for that. I won't sell it to you, but thanks.

He’s barring them completely.

Now, the state legislature backed the governor's efforts. On Wednesday they passed a bill that would make permanent what Gov. DeSantis set out to do earlier this month.

A key part of the bill reads…

“A business entity … may not require patrons or customers to provide any documentation certifying C0VID-19 v@ccination or post-infection recovery to gain access to, entry upon, or service from the business operations in this state”.

It also includes a $5,000 fine for violations of the law.

I was at a restaurant today and the owner came in looking tanned. She said she was in Fl. for a couple of days and while there felt almost naked because of not having to wear a mask. So different than blue Va. Mike

Kevyn, just stay at home in your parents basement and you will be safe, and so will the rest of us.
