Trump said that Gaetz had not "directly" asked him for a pardon, not that reports had said he did, they were careful to point out that he had approached the administration...
But what is it with trump's total faith in "strong denials"? It seems that all anyone has to do no matter how guilty is strongly deny something and they have to be believed. This from the man that strongly denied there were any non disclosure agreements even as he was suing for a breach of NDA, who then said he knew nothing about them, who said he had not paid any money for such NDA's, who then said no campaign funds had been used...
At a certain point intelligent people start thinking everything certain people who automatically lie must be lying when they deny anything we have reason to believe. Gaetz is obviously doing the blanket denial strategy on everything considering that prosecutors look like they have the goods on him based on the charges against Gaetz's tax collector friend.

You must remember a person is innocent until proven guilty. But in your case everyone is guilty and when they are proven innocent you still harp about them being guilty.
I think your third paragraph describes you to a t.

This is happening for a reason and Gaetz, I suspect, is NOT the reason.

And Biden lies and lies.
They all lie. Yes they do, even republicans.
And we believe the lies we want to and pretend only the other side is lying.

You know it's just a matter of time when a conservative's political future seems to be rising that Democrats move in and start up with charges. I can't wait until they start throwing barb's at Ron DeSantis. He's next as sure as I am sitting here.

You are right. There is a very good chance that Ronny is as sleazy as Matt.

Careful, RR. You may be talking about our next President!

As far as presidents go it seems the slezzer you are the more likely you are to win.
There are those that think that Biden is slezzer than Trump and Trump set a very low bar.

Are there any that don't think that?

Not in your reality
Sometimes I give people too much credit for being able to think rationally.

As if a belief that Trump has anyone other then his own best interest at heart is rational thinking

I'm sitting here watching Mark Stein interview Newt Gingrich. They're discussing China's aspirations for Global Dominance. We could sit here and debate former President Trump's debits and credits but why don't we concentrate on where the action is - right here in the Biden/Harris administration and their total train wreck of what's going on in the U.S. If you would prefer to continue trying to dredge up stuff on Trump, I will be happy to debate with you, but like the Democrats are doing right now, you would be ignoring the important stuff.
