First, they are German Shepherds, the misspelling that is so common from people who do not know that Shepherds are dogs that were bred to herd sheep. Please spell it correctly.
Second, the breed is usually used for family protection, but they are also used for tracking, sentry work and guard dogs. The temperaments of each group may be very different, the guard dogs being less reliable around people they do not know, since their original work required a strong prey drive. That type of Shepherd should have never been placed in the White House, their protection response means that they are not good around groups of people that they do not know well. The people who breed for guide dogs might produce the safer kind of dog that could be trusted in the chaos of the White House. However, in the case of the Bidens, where crime is honored, no dog should be placed, as the dog, no matter how sweet would learn bad things from its owners. Hopefully the dog will not be allowed to bite someone else, as the Biden response would probably be to make it illegal to own a German Shepherd in the USA
