The meaning of Lent in the Christian Calendar

Lent is the period of 40 days which comes before Easter in the Christian calendar. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, Lent is a season of reflection and preparation before the celebrations of Easter.

By observing the 40 days of Lent, Christians replicate Jesus Christ's sacrifice and withdrawal into the desert for 40 days. Lent is marked by fasting, both from food and festivities.

Easter is the resurrection of Christ on the 3rd day, He seated at the right hand of the Father. He is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

◄ John 14:3 ►
I will go there to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Christ loves us all. And those who are lost, come back and repent. God is a loving and forgiving. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness. "

For the Christian calendar, Christmas, the birth of Christ, and Easter, the resurrection of Christ, are the two most important events in the Christian history.
