I thank God daily that I was not predestined to be a Calvinist.

No such thing as predestination. Otherwise, free will would not exist. Some claim that since God knows everything that will happen that it's predetermined. It is not. God simply knows what our choices will be. Not the same thing.

You're still a plain old sinner.

I agree, however I'm not particularly fond of blanket statements when it comes to the Bible because there are few that cover everything.
After I chose Jesus as my Lord and Saviour through my own free will I was predestinated to receive a glorious body in the image of God's Son.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Romans 8:29 KJV

It is true that right now, in the flesh, I still sin daily; but when God looks down on me He does not see a sinner, He only sees a saved soul in Christ.

We see predestination is indeed a Biblical doctrine; however we must also acknowledge Calvinist like MacArthur misuse the doctrine.

Only in the sense that A leads to B. Someone accepts Christ, and their fate is predetermined. The rest is still the result of free will.

I totally agree. Before the foundation of the world God chose, decide, predetermined, predestined what He would do with folks who choose Him through their own free will.

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
Ephesians 1:4-5 KJV

How does he misuse it?

Calvinism teaches certain individuals, chosen by God before the foundation of the world, are predestined to salvation.
The Bible teaches God predestined what He would do with an individual after they choose God through there own free will choice

Do I have to repeat the question?

Not if you don't understand the answer.

I see. Generalizations are your thing. You read about it somewhere.

Rose42 I don't seem to be able to please you no matter what I do.
If I get down with Biblical specifics, you call me a know-it-all. If I don't you complain about me being to general.
Is there just no pleasing you?
I hope you don't treat the ones in your personal life with such conflict.

The "you read about it somewhere" seems puzzling. First you enter into no basic scriptural discussion, then you give me your preferred list of reading material, and now you are accusing me of doing what you recommend?

At this point I think if I said the cloudless sky is blue, you would argue.

But God knows everything. He knows who will be saved and who will reject Him. He knew before Creation. Doesn't mean that its predestined. it simply means that God knows what will be, based on people's free choices.
