What in the World are the Democrats in AZ trying to hide?

Arizona Senate Passes Nuclear Option, E******n Officials May Not Be Able to Hide Machines from Investigation Much Longer
Isa Cox
The Arizona state Senate just passed a bill that would allow the state legislature to subpoena critical e******ns records, paving the way for a closer look into some of the most contested data amid the messy fallout of the 2020 e******n.

Senate Bill 1408 passed 16-14 cleanly along party lines with Republicans forming the affirming v**e, according to the Arizona Mirror.

If the bill is ultimately signed into law, it would force officials in Maricopa County to hand over documents and information they have been so far refusing to provide to the state legislature in an ongoing legal battle, including those pesky v****g machines themselves.

In December, the GOP-controlled Senate Judiciary Committee issued subpoenas to the county to turn over all v****g machines and b****ts, but the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, also controlled by Republicans, refused to comply.

Instead, they filed a court complaint, claiming the committee had no such right to issue subpoenas and that turning over v****g information would violate state laws, requesting that a judge make the determination as to whether they were required to comply.

TRENDING: Biden Forces Out Prosecutor Investigating Powerful Democrats

While Maricopa County officials have turned over some data to the Senate panel, it has not been to the satisfaction of the legislators, who had requested images of b****ts and detailed information on the now-infamous v****g machines, among other things as yet to be turned over.

Next week, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Timothy Thomason will hear arguments to make his decision on whether the Judiciary Committee has the authority to make these demands of the county, the Arizona Mirror reported.

Meanwhile, SB 1408, which was introduced by Republican state Sen. Warren Petersen, would expressly allow the legislature to request all b****ts, equipment, systems and other information from counties, regardless of any laws that might otherwise prohibit them from doing so.

The law, if it makes it past the state House and is signed by Arizona Republican Gov. Doug Ducey, would apply retroactively — thus empowering the legislature to seize the 2020 e******n data they are, to their credit, so doggedly after.

Should all state legislatures have this kind of subpoena power?
Arizona’s Democrats are falling back on the favorite party line: The notion that any aspect of the e******n could be fraudulent is all part of the “Big Lie” and any attempt to scrutinize it is simply the perpetuation of “misinformation.”

“The more we continue down this path, we continue to spread the ‘Big Lie’ that something was wrong with our e******ns. The more we continue to go after the county board of supervisors and try to subpoena all this information … we are furthering and perpetuating this lie,” Democratic state Sen. Martin Quezada said, according to the Mirror.

“This is not about a state body battling with a county body because they are not complying with a subpoena. That is not what this is about at all. This is about perpetuating more misinformation,” he added. “It’s irresponsible and it’s damaging to our democracy.”

It is important to note that, even in the hypothetical eventuality that Maricopa County indeed was impacted by the suspected irregularities and fraud (and this was uncovered), that alone would not impact the outcome of the 2020 e******n other than to flip Arizona’s 11 Trump-camp-contested e*****rs away from now-President Joe Biden.

Nonetheless, as Republican state Sen. J.D. Mesnard said contrary to the views of his Democratic colleague, the law is explicitly meant to underscore the legislature’s subpoena powers more than anything else.

I read this article this morning and was discussing it with my wife. We both are dumbfounded as to why anyone would object to having this issue brought into the open and examined. Maybe some of the Democrat leaning people on OPP can clear that up for us.

***Arizona’s Democrats are falling back on the favorite party line: The notion that any aspect of the e******n could be fraudulent is all part of the “Big Lie” and any attempt to scrutinize it is simply the perpetuation of “misinformation.”

>>>The real t***h is the Democrats are falling back on the favorite party line that all of these investigations into fraud are supporting the "Big Lie". But how is ending the "Big Lie" with a simple investigation, that they don't have to pay for or conduct, by greater authorities then themselves, supporting the "Big Lie". Prove it once and for all and it can go away. And biden can be recognized as legitimate, if he really is.

>>>The more they continue blocking a simple, through, independent, forensic investigation, they are keeping the "Big Lie" front and center. What are they trying to hide?

>>>No, this is about ending misinformation and getting the facts. It is not damaging our democracy, but making it valid. The Democrats have tried to go after close v**es lost to Republicans for years. They are trying to do it right now in the House. Apparently it is okay for them to investigate e******ns, claiming fraud or miscounts, etc. forever, but with overwhelming evidence, it is wrong for Republicans to demand the same.

Logically Right

And indeed they do. The v****g records and machines. I don’t put much faith in this, but at least they are trying. We need more efforts like this, especially in Georgia.

And by the time it all comes about, the documents will be "erased accidentally" unable to be retrieved-ala Clinton and the FBI, remember? Her server was wiped clean and they could not recapture the data--yup-I believe that.

American Vet,

For what it’s worth, I found out yesterday my wife’s brother and his wife v**ed in the latest e******n and neither one was a registered v**er. They live in Arizona, no fraud or discrepancies there, lol, big BS. They v**ed Biden and are big Obummer fans. He is now complaining about his ACA and deductibles. He rips off his medical providers and laughs about it. His medical providers require payment up front now. Laughs on him. So much for his motto “if it’s free it’s for me.”
