I really can see why Texas was unprepared. they have not had shuch a long cold snap in over 50 years. As long as it doesn't happen you don't prepare for it. What I don't understand, is the burst pipes. Everyone in New England knows to leave a faucet dripping when you loose power for a while

Or shut water off & open faucets. Have alternate heating sources. Actually, TX had a similar (but not as bad) freeze in 2011. I live in the Houston area in late 80s, temp was in the teens. I didn't lose power where I lived but many homeowners suffered from frozen pipes. Burst water pipes were so bad there was a shortage of half inch copper pipe in Houston metropolitan area.

Another asinine opinion .

The only people suffering are the i***ts who have immigrated to Texas to escape from their own s**t hole states.

They came here ill-educated and ignorant of basic pr********n protocols.

'Real' Texans are self sufficient and we are well prepared for weather related disasters.

So we just hunker down and watch as the ne'er do wells scramble in desperation.

please keep AOC there...dont send that b***h up to Okla..
My bro-in-Law is electric engineer in Dallas and he knew enough about the grid to have a Generac!! He be high & dry...My son in Houston just now getting water back but he aint beggin for AOC "charity" either!

The coldest I've ever been was in basic training. We left the barracks at 5 AM and it was 85 degrees, by the time we reached the firing range it was 40 and still dropping. None of us had coats. When the Training Instructor got too cold, he called for the buses to come and pick us up. My first Blue Northern. I've seen several flash floods. Went tubing on the Frio one week, then it flooded and went back a week later and trees were laying horizontal in the treetops about forty feet up. That's why we say wait a while and the weather will change. No place like Texas is a true statement. Almost Bluebonnet and Indian Paintbrush time. And all this will be just another memory we can exaggerate, to make a better story. It's what we do, and it's called a tall windy. The more we tell it, the more interesting it gets.

Ft Polk was no picnic either...we stood outside by dryer vents to stay warm...when they let us..lovely place

No...... but your question most definitely is i***tic.

Many who are without power are like me and have back up power.

Any True Texan knows that to be prepared is to be a survivor.

Many of those out of power and resources are the millions of asinine airheads who pour in to Texas to escape their own s**t hole states like California and New York.

And now they've moved here expecting the government to come to the rescue every time a little norther blows in.

So these kinds of weather events never happened before the widespread use of f****l f**ls ?

son, Never near as fast. It could take a thousand years to go down one degree. Now it's near ten years.

The “pause” in g****l w*****g observed since 2000 followed a period of rapid acceleration in the late 20th century. Starting in the mid-1970s, global temperatures rose 0.5 °C over a period of 25 years.
Since the turn of the century, however, the change in Earth's global mean surface temperature has been close to zero.

The earth has seen many c*****e c****es that were all NATURAL. Just because a person has a PHD behind their name doesn`t negate the fact that they are human and prone to taking gifts or bribes to lie. There are as many scientists who say that this is a g****l w*****g h**x as there are that say it`s not. Do the research.

Only on MSM and in the minds of l*****ts. Scientists are as political as any other group, and are regular victims of cancel culture, if they produce evidence in disagreement with current cultural superstitions, such as manmade g****l w*****g, or B*M, or the silliness of trying to force g***n e****y when we currently have neither the science nor technology to replace f****l f**ls.
