The path is clear, it is the money of the f****l f**l companies which are fighting it tooth and nail..

The market has nearly ended the use of Coal.. natural gas in cleaner, but should in fact be called; less dirty..

Things have been so delayed over the years.. think of it, Exxon knew about CC in the 50s and kept the information locked up..

Now we are near the tipping point.. that is what your fish wrap press calles the end of the world per the liberals. not so the term and event is "tipping point" if you are not familiar with that. look it up.. the disinformation even on this single term is what makes the right wing positions so hard for the world to accept as anything to take seriously..

If I were even reasonably convinced you were right, I would be supporting you. So I will be real. I've been studying "c*****e c****e" since I was in college in the 70s. I have always been interested in the science. Your side has done very little to provide science to back up the statements. The supposed "science" is predicated on assumptions and guesses and unsupported opinions. They have also been willing to lie, distort, f**e "facts", etc constantly over the last 40 years in order to "convince" skeptics because, after all, the end justifies the means to the progressives. The lies of the progressive and MSM over the past four years has done nothing but reinforce the t***h that they are willing to lie about anything and everything. If they would be willing to open and honest discussions, we could do a LOT more to be better stewards of this planet. Unfortunately, like most progressive ideas, compromise is out of the question. We must sacrifice our economy, our children's health, our technology, and our freedoms in order to accommodate the progressive version of the green new deal. Thanks but no thanks.

hey, Peg. Good question. Everyone I know, including my wife and I, did exactly that. No problems with broken pipes. Those who did not, at least in our area of Texas, had ice damaged pipes. But the longer term damage was done to major water lines, a few of which froze, but most were damaged by the ground shifting as it became water logged and then froze. The vast majority of municipalities pump treated water into tall towers, and the height of the towers provide the daily water pressure. Broken water mains tend to drain the towers, thus the loss of pressure to homes and businesses. The pumps are not large enough or powerful enough to maintain pressure on their own, so once the towers are drained, the dripping faucets are enough to keep pressure from building up in the towers. So no one gets water from their faucets. Ordinarily, the towers drain a little during the day, and refill at night. Low water pressure also allows the development of bacteria, so boiling becdmes necessary until the water in the lines is cleansed.

not, There is a big difference between weather and climate. What you experienced back then was a bad weather storm. When weather changes at the pace it does, it shows a real problem. Over 90% of the earth scientists said the g****l w*****g is being caused by the burning of f****l f**ls, which releases gasses that have an effect similar to a green house. I'm not a scientist, but I believe the guys with PhD after their name. This must be viewed as a period of t***sition, in order to face an existential threat.

You have been fed a lot of misinformation. The 90% of scientists lie has been debunked for years, it's closer to 20%. The IPCC has been consistently wrong on every prediction they have ever made. It's the U.N. grabbing power and our money, nothing more.

son, We didn't get into this mess overnight, and it will take time to reverse the problem. We Americans have a problem with immediate gratification. It has to be fixed now. That might work if you are replacing a crumby QB on an NFL team on draft day, but reversing a century and a half of pouring poison onto the air, not so much,

So while we ruin our economy over this foolishness every other country just keeps doing the same things? How stupid is that?

Better air in 2020..... that is because the previous democrat administration did such good work for the environment and inspite of trump removing regulations, the decades of work combined with the great decline in motor traffic a/c of the c***d made are air cleaner then it has been for many years..

But NO, it was not only the US which found the air cleaner.. as soon as commerce returns to normal levels the problem will also return to past levels.

On an annual basis, EIA expects that U.S. energy-related CO2 emissions will total 4,543 MMmt in 2020, or 11% lower than their 2019 level. EIA expects energy-related CO2 emissions in 2021 to increase to 4,798 MMmt, or 6% lower than their 2019 level. Aug 21, 2020

Unfortunately, you are correct, as long as you include American progressives into your definition of the UN. They have systematically destroyed their own credibility on this, and most other subjects. Does anyone want to trust the "science" of an organization that puts Iran and the ChiComs on the UN human rights council???

I agree, but what if the average temperature is rising faster than ever before? Thats what's happening now. Like I said, I'm no scientist, but my best hope to know scientific t***h is to follow what 90% of the earth scientists with the Letters, P.hd after their name. It makes a hell of a lot more sense than to believe Donald Trump. I don't know if Trump ever took a science course in college. Every now and then, he says something astonishingly stupid.

"The weather will continue to change on and off for a long, long time"

Salty, that nonsense of 90 % has long since been debunked. The temperature is NOT rising in the way you have been told by the MSM and the democrats. Changing temperature is natural on the earth, and is a function of the sun and orbital mechanics. Green house gases is a real thing, and we need to control it, but it is not the culprit here. You have been lied to for forty years by people who want to control all of our lives.

You don't need to be a scientist to have an opinion. Just because a scientist has an opinion doesn't make it fact.

They claim that the overall global temperature has risen 8/10th of one degree C. in the last hundred and forty years. That is 1/100th of a degree F. per year. We can't determine that on a global basis even today. https://www.theworldcounts.com/stories/Temperature-Change-Over-the-Last-100-Years

Here is a fact for you; 140 years ago, we didn't have measurement capability in a one degree range nor any reason to track it that closely.

As for 'faster than ever before', it's been hotter and colder on our globe before and we have no idea how fast those changes came or went. Another fact, the planet has been warming for the last 12,000 years. We didn't start it and we won't end it, no matter how global we get.

Finally, why take anyone's word for it. Do the research, apply your brain and come to your own conclusions.

The impacts of c*****e c****e haven’t been spread evenly around our planet and they won’t be in the future, either. Temperatures increase at different speeds everywhere, with warming generally higher over land areas than oceans. The strongest warming is happening in the Arctic during its cool seasons, and in Earth’s mid-latitude regions during the warm season.

Don't know if anyone else answered but here goes. First, the by-product of U-235, the furl used in a nuclear power plant remains radioactive and highly poisonous for thousands of years. Second, immigrants are already on earth, how do you think they will increase g****l w*****g? Does this clarify things for you a bit? I'm not opposed to generation of electricity by nuclear power but there should be better designs. Your nemesis, Bill Gates is working to design "better" nuclear power generating facilities. All the former residents of Fokushima Japan if they think nuclear power is still so great?
