When Cream disbanded, Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker joined with Rick Grech and Stevie Windwood to form one of the great Super Groups at the end of the 1960s, Blind Faith. Windwood came from the Spencer Davis Group and then Traffic for this tour. I got to see them live at the Forum in 1968 when I was a senior in High School. Winwood could not have been more than about a year or two older than I was at that time. He was a member of the Spencer Davis Band at age of 14. He used to have to take the lorry to the group's practice sessions then because he wasn't old enough to drive.
That was still real music, without all the technical computer wizardry and filters to make every not sound perfect. It's sad, but technology has ruined much of today's music for me. Blind Faith was one of the first record albums I could listen through completely without skipping any songs. Maybe Sgt Pepper was the first. I only wish he and Clapton would have collaborated on more music and released more albums. Winwood returned to Traffic, which did even better, and Clapton formed Derek and the Dominos creating Layla, one of the greatest anthems to rock music.

This particular performance is why I posted this song. It's just a great concert. It aired on PBS in it's entirety but I only find it in bits and pieces
