As for your third paragraph, yes, passion does have a way of creeping into our posts. About the only things I feel that I truly get passionate about is the t***h, reality and a job well done. The last one does not really apply in message boards, despite the strength, or lack thereof, of one's argument, it will not likely sway someone of an opposing viewpoint if that someone refuses to be swayed, regardless of the strength or weakness of their case. As such, the job will likely never be "well done". As an aside, any relation to Yoda? Full of jokes I am.

Fourth paragraph, it did seem as though you were implying that I called you a troll, if you weren't implying such, I am sorry for the incorrect inference.

Fifth paragraph, oh yeah, I suspect we ALL have done that a time or two, I just do it a bit more frequently with my constant tab switches to research, confirm my facts, C/P links, C/P quotes or what have you. I value t***h, reality, facts and honesty and as such, I usually like to make sure I have my facts straight and am honestly conveying the facts. All the same, I still occasionally mix some things up, but when I do, it is ALWAYS an honest mistake, I NEVER deliberately misconstrue the facts or post incorrect data, but it happens to EVERYONE on occasion. My anal retentive, borderline OCD, attention to detail and compulsion to have my facts straight leads to MANY tab switches in my posted replies, especially the more involved and lengthy posts. The more frequent the tab switches are, the better the odds tend to be of "oops's", the more frustrated one can become.

The "12 hour hospital trip" was not for me, I had to drive someone else to the hospital. If it wasn't for his great pain on the trip in, he could have driven in, if not for his COMPLETE lack of pain, he could have driven back home, I had to drive BOTH ways. Had I known it would have taken 12 hours, I would have dropped him at the door and returned to pick him up when he called to say he was soon to be done. One hour trip each way, the "todo list" items checked off my list would far outweigh the fuel consumed in a double trip. That coupled with the reduction in the boredom of sitting around "twiddling my thumbs" would nearly encourage me to pay him the value of my own fuel used as an "appreciation gift" for me not being so bored out of my skull, even though I had PLENTY of reading material stashed away in the pockets on the backs of my seats. I ALWAYS maintain fresh reading materials in the backs of my seats for those "down times" while waiting around when I drive people places. Considering replacing reading materials with smaller, but still necessary and important projects and the tools/supplies needed to perform those tasks, much better use of time than reading Popular Mechanics, Popular Science, Hot Rod Magazine, Super Chevy, Road and Track, Car and Driver among other such titles. I wonder... What would the hospital have thought or said had I chosen to do some routine vehicle maintenance in the ER parking lot... Aw hell, if I had jacked the vehicle up to do some routine maintenance, the police may have shown up to arrest the "cat burglar". There has been a rash of catalytic converter thefts lately, they probably would have thought that was what I was doing, stealing someone's "cat"... Can one imagine the awkward discussion that the officer and I would have had?
"Facts" only have value if they are base... (show quote)

Holy cow. How self absorbed - yet you call others nasty. Lol.

All that explains why you value your opinion above all else. To each his own.
