When a President leaves office, he becomes a civilian. We have civilian courts that can prosecute him. Duh.

They did not impeach a private citizen....they impeached a President. I know that's hard to understand, but try. Congress did not impeach a private citizen.

Listen closely, you ignorant tool. Impeachment is used to remove someone from office. Once he leaves he cannot be impeached. Why is this so difficult to understand? It like a doctor deciding to operate on a corpse. He can't save it, so why operate. Dems are so stupid.

It's not difficult to understand at all, despite your inability to do so. Impeachment is to try someone for 'high crimes and misdemeanors' .....there hasn't been a trial yet. Just an indictment. The mistake is to think impeachment is 'only' to remove someone from office. That is only one of the possible outcomes.

The democrats are guilty of abuse of process, knowing full well that if impeached there would be no senate trial while he was in office.
