Someone I know told me they were going to k**l themselves. I have every reason to believe they are serious. In fact, I saved his life once already. He is serious about this. He's waiting for payday so he can buy some smack and overdose on it. What should I do?

Call 911 and request a mental health intervention squad/crisis intervention team for your friend. Specific team name varies by area, but 911 will know whom to contact for your area. Saying a prayer for you and your friend.

If you can just reach out to him personally and if possible be physically with him. Pray with him if thats a thing he will accept and quite frankly tell your friend that you love him and that the world would be a much lesser place without him. Hugs and love are always a damn good thing.

I'm going to suggest that he contact a crisis counselor. If that doesn't work, I'll call 911. I told him that I'm his friend and ill help him any way I can. I also told him that he doesn't want to die. He just wants to end the pain. Not sure what else I can do. He's involved with a married woman and they have a child. A little girl. The woman is a real b***h. She got him convicted for domestic abuse, even though she attacked him first. He got another one for yelling at her mother. There is a no contact order. He has contacted her, but only because she contacted him first. If she rats him out, it's two years in prison. I'm convinced that she wants him dead. She even played nice with him for a while, then contacted him and told him she was seeing someone else, even though she's still married. What a mess. If I could get my hands on her, I'd break her neck!

He is serious. I saved him from an overdose. I thought it was an accident. He told me later that I wasn't supposed to save him.
Also, this woman has power over him, granted by a judge. If she wanted to, she could send him to prison. She's also using his daughter against him.

No offense to your friend, but drug abusers aren't high on my list of people worth saving...

Nor are adulterers...

Nor domestic abusers...

You want to help him, call the professionals... But recognize that his life is his to live... And don't get upset that not all people view these matters the same way you do...
