I**********n is different from r**ts and offenses connected with mob violence. In i**********n there is an organized and armed uprising against authority or operations of government whereas r**ts and offenses connected with mob violence are simply unlawful acts in disturbance of the peace which do not threaten the stability of the government or the existence of political society.

The following is from case law defining I**********n:

I**********n means “a violent uprising by a group or movement acting for the specific purpose of o*******wing the constituted government and seizing its powers. An i**********n occurs where a movement acts to o*******w the constituted government and to take possession of its inherent powers.

So there were no armed troops or citizen m*****as storming the Capitol and other seats of government. Questionable if one could call that an i**********n or that Trump was guilty of inciting one. Most of the people, once they gained access to the Capitol, were milling around wondering "Okay, now what do we do?" Many left except for the few agitators and agent provocateurs on the Right and the Left who came armed with implements, and in a few cases weapons, to breach the barriers with a plan to break in. Every one of them needs to be identified and brought to justice using the full weight of the law. To the best of our knowledge, it remains to be seen if any of them actually thought they were going to o*******w the government. They were there to encourage the Senate to not certify the e*******l college results..
