For heavens sake CALM down!! Truly you will like it.

The Constitution of the United States: Amendment II (1791)
A well regulated m*****a, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Several weeks ago, on another site, I was informed I did not not understand nor know how to interpret the Second Amendment. My ire was raised greatly! Sometimes I can be an arrogant prig as well as a word clarity usage female dog. This was one of those instances!

The Constitution of the United States: Amendment II (2013) using Webster's Unabridged Dictionary definitions of words within the Second Amendment.
A well regulated citizenry trained for emergency service, being necessary/inevitable to the security of a free state, the privilege of the populace to hold and have weapons, must in no manner or degree be encroached on.

Maybe the dunderheads unable to understand short declarative sentences would better understand long verbose declarative sentences!

Hopefully no one had to scream "MEDIC, defrib now" when you first saw the name of the forum!

The picture you have posted is that of a lynx, I believe, a member of the cat family. Your remarks were well formed and reasonable. The term catty carries a definition of quietly or slyly malicious; spiteful, and your statement does not appear to be any of that. You seem well reasoned and open. I often jest but if I need to explain I have failed.

I actually did not know what type of cat it was. This household is a feline household. I have an app of wild cats and chose this one for the serious look. There are times I can be slyly malicious but try to be polite. I do understand the "catty" phrase but wanted to make sure we were on the same page/highway/thought train. Do not feel you failed. I tend to question before reacting....unless I am VERY CRANKY...then sly ceases and "lynx" cat will attack (now that I know the cat type).
I look forward to continuing conversation. Be well.

AuntieE--well said. "Shall not be infringed." Only amendment that has those words. But to the Obamaphiles, unless they say it then it is meaningless. "What difference does that make now." Right--they are all dead.

This issue has become one of the worst declarations of our multi-billion boondoggle we call public education, not to even go into the private college sector or the facts that a whole lot of them "higher edumakated chillins is cuming out stupider than when they went in".
It is now S.O.P.( standard operational procedure) for those who are not of current or past military persuasion,to spend massive amounts of someone else's money to manipulate the mass's via propaganda in an effort to change the meanings of words to fit the ideology or agenda of those whom would be our "RULERS" and not our public servants.
I read an interesting quip the other day and I'll share it with anyone who still has or desires or even uses common sense in this day and age,

" Why is it when a bomb goes of we condemn the bomber, but when a gun goes off we blame the firearm?"

In response to the quip:It is the easiest thing to do. What is an ASSAULT WEAPON? What is a clip? Does a pistol grip make a "firearm" more lethal? How about a flash suppressor? More lethality there? More background checks? On who? Law abiding citizens? Yeah that'll work. Your right to free speech only remains a right, and free as long as there are armed men willing to do violence on those who would take that right away from you. I am SICK TO DAMN DEATH of the nation of cowards we have become. Barack Obama can not protect us.
Sorry got a little hot there.

You are correct in several things: Mainly, people who decry the use of firearms can't seem to grasp the concept that their freedom is defended by those who don't decry the use of firearms. Peace and freedom are not free, they are purchased with violence and blood, usually. I have said before that the real problem lies with those who would relegate not only their own safety, but that of myself and my family to the care of some omniscient, nameless, all-powerful, (but somehow always benevolent) AUTHORITY. They would rather trust not only their own, but everyone else's lives and possessions to the good graces of some faceless entity whose judgements are are always just. (Here I thought that was God's job). By encouraging this attitude, the psychological warriors are achieving what Sun Tsu said more than two thousand years ago, "Supreme Excellence in Warfare Lies in Destroying the Enemies' Will to Resist." When you lose, but "go down swinging," you have suffered a setback, sure, but when you feel in your mind, heart and soul that you are beaten, you are. You may go through the motions, but you're whipped. Your comment on a nation of cowards was timely. I, myself, have been branded a d******c t*******t, because of the following crimes: I am a veteran, a tax protester, a gun owner, a concealed carry permit holder, an NRA member, and even worse, a v****g Republican. I am the "Establishment's" worst nightmare, a redneck with an education. (Regarding the d******c t*******t thing, now that I think about it, it seems the only people who didn't make the list are Democraps,(not a misspell), and those who ride camels, speak Farsi, and say Allah Akbar! a lot.

I wasn't a Marine. I was an MP, attached for a time to the 101, and while not Airborne, I did find myself riding in a lot of choppers that were built by the lowest bidder, and most generally un-assing them faster than prudence would dictate. Statistically, jumping out of perfectly good airplanes is a far safer allocation of your time on this Earth.

I thought the whole thing was put very well and kudos on that. The versimilitude of reason instead of a direct punctuated statement my poke through those tough walls that academia erect around their brain pans. But, the irony within this short (dependent?) clause was nothing short of awesome.

I must say that the three of us are one in this one. Both of you said the things that need said and must be said.

My 9mm handgun has a pistol grip on it but how many guns of that type have just a straight grip. My son bought a .45 caliber revolver because he had always wanted one about a week before I bought mine and his grip looks much different than mine. Have you ever heard THEM define what a pistol grip looks like?

Boy am I glad to hear you say, just kidding. I did my combat job every day the whole time I was in the Army and am sure that back then the Marines didn't do the job but would surely have liked having us around. I was once ashamed of enlisting in the Army but recently an old buddy convinced me that we of the ASA were pretty important and would have been more so if a war had broken out.
