You gotta see it to get the effect.

Cool!
I had my’78 smoky special T***s Am painted with imron.
The gold pinstripes were painted first, taped off, shot with the black and it was spectacular.
I miss that car.

I had a black Cutlass LS and swore I'd never have another black car...but that isn't your normal, shiny black.

That's like looking into a mine shaft.

It was so dark the trim looked like it was backlit.

Pretty cool! I would have liked to see it driving down the street in the dark in regular traffic. I imagine it would look astounding! Almost invisible....

Bought a new CJ5 Jeep in August 1964. Took five months of working on the body to get it ready for my friend to paint black for me. Black paint can only go on a car if the body is perfect. Seventeen coats of black lacquer and sanding with crocus cloth after each layer of paint. A mirror finish that seemed to change color if I drove along under street lights after dark. Every bit of dust showed on the car though. Was worth the effort though because there wasn't another one like it in 1965.

I plan on taking an aerial picture of the desert I live in and have some matte paint matched to it.

That's the color I'm painting my 79 Ford.

That was badass...

But check out what they did with the black putting Hypershift sparkles on it, this is the baddest paint job I've ever seen

I had a 76 Jaguar XJS factory homologation race car with a 485hp 12 cylinder and a 4 speed manual, the guy I got it from wanted something special for it paint wise, so I did some research with a guy I knew who had a body shop, we went with a silver Imron that had a slightly larger than normal metallic that was different colors, not huge sparkle like full on metal flake, just a little bit larger than normal metallic paint has, you had to be closer to see it, it was subtle, it didn't color shift, that wasn't a thing yet. The black was used as an undercoat stage, and that made for a truly stunning silver.

It gets my heart rate up just thinking about cars like this.
