Throwing an object at a person is assault. If someone intervenes, the are technically in the 'self defense' mode and can stop the aggressor. You can bandy about the terms used to stop the aggressor, but it still constitutes self defense.

So, no 'wild assumptions'.

Well said, Lindajoy!! What you describe is exactly the problem. For years now the left has denigrated and demeaned everything about the right. We cling to our "guns and bibles". We cling to the "past". We "don't understand today's world". We "worship" violence and non inclusive behavior. If a celebrity leans conservative they are blacklisted. If a professor or teacher leans conservative they are systematically removed from the "system". Media talking heads aren't allowed to be conservative, unless they work for Fox. So who's noninclusive again?Conservatives have been marginalized in this country for years, in ways big and small. I, personally, am done tolerating it. And done tolerating conservative "representatives" who shrink back - always - and don't represent their constituents. And done tolerating colleges that present one facet of society as good and virtuous and another facet as ignorant and backward to our youth. Conservatives being ever patient and tolerant have brought us to this impasse. I'm done being patient and tolerant. And I know I'm not alone.
