You recall correctly, as also did Schumer, Pelosi, and most Democratic party leaders.

Didn’t they call Trump a Zenophob or wh**ever the new made up bad things to be called ...because he shut down flights from China....? And then he sent planes to China to evacuate American citizens and placed them on military bases to protect the public....if a major earthquake hits California sometime in the next hundred years.... the left will blame Trump.... they are Narcissists..... they have to blame someone!

If I recall properly, it was Biden who promptly criticized Trump for his initial and subsequent actions to curtail the spread of the China V***s!

Magnifies my point that we had two very lousy choices.

Absolutely! Cheers!

In the immortal words of Bobby McFerrin, "Don't worry, be happy!" "'Cause every little thing is gonna be alright."

Tomorrow I'm leaving my Rv for the desert for five days, joined by several friends. I'll do some off-road rides and just hang out around the fire in the evening. The weather is going to be excellent, the high 70s and low 80s. Sunny and very little wind (I hope).

I'm assuming the Mohave. I absolutely LOVE the Mojave! Those deserted, lonely roads are so fun to drive... especially at night. A helluva lot more is going on in that desert than meets the eye. When you slow it all down and pay a little attention, that desert is very much alive. I'm jealous. Have a blast man!!!

Actually a little further south. Anza-Borrego near the SD/Imperial county line; Ocotillo Wells SVRA.

The State park area is closed but B*M land is open to camp on, and the price is right. It's free.

Hell yeah. I've driven around the Salton Sea area. Must be somewhat close? Salton Sea is trippy-dippy. Especially if you read about it's history.

About 5 miles west of Salton City off of CA-86 Hwy. There is a 4-wheel training area near there.

I know you're a history buff. Have you read much about the history of the Salton Sea? Pretty fascinating really. Movie Stars used to flock there. Once was a fancy resort area. Now it is dead. Crazy. Have a blast!!!

Not a lot. I seem to recall it was formed by a breach in the Colorado River, and perhaps the biggest problem is from agricultural chemical runoff that works its way into the sea and has k**led much of the aquatic life. The southern part of the sea really stinks. There is a section that is in the north that they have kept somewhat relatively free of pollution. I was a child then, but in the 1950s people flocked there and it was booming as you said with movie stars and such. There is an interesting place called Slab City where many unemployed people live off the grid, rent-free in RVs and such on B*M land, but they have their problems with crime and drugs there also. It used to be an artillery training area from WWII. There are areas in this desert where Patton trained his tank corps for Africa. Niland is a really strange and quirky place. Lots of graffiti, folk art, substandard and makeshift structures. People who like to live unconventional lifestyles. I haven't visited these areas since I was very young. More than 50 years ago. I only started coming to the desert about three years ago with friends having dune buggies, Jeeps, dirt bikes, quads, and Razors. Amazing technology in the razors that was partially developed by NASA and use in the Lunar and Mars Rover. I was riding with one friend and we were in the dirt driving over moguls and ruts with twists and turns, passing people on the highway. It's almost like a hydrofoil skimming over the surface when you are going that fast. Amazingly smooth ride at times. I ride with others because they have $50,000+ invested in these vehicles. Breakdowns aren't frequent but can be expensive because damage often requires new expensive components. I have other things to spend my money on.

Only 6 more days and Trump will be out. I posted an excellent video a little while ago from Stanford's Hoover Institute, Goodfellows. I think you will find it extremely interesting and they confirm much of what you have been saying about the past four years. It's a little over an hour-long, but give it a viewing if you have time. https://www.hoover.org/research/snafu-or-fubar.

Have a great weekend.

You know all about the area. I am familiar w/ the shantytown, quirky places but not nearly as much as you. I just find it (even still) a very intriguing place. There is a current 3rd or 4th year player in Major League Baseball that was raised there. Can't recall his name offhand but what are the odds? It's a trippy-dippy place. I bookmarked the original post so that I can watch your video and definitely will. Thanks for sending it and I hope you have a blast playing in the sand!!
