The house leadership knows McConnell is going to dog any impeachment, after the 20th it will be new rules and I'm getting the impression dems are going to play as rough as McConnell has been for the last ten years.
Having impeached him in the house it changes the status of trump from that point on, pardons are exempt under impeachment conditions. There will be a whole load of things that will come under challenges including indictments, prosecution, and the status of his other pardons once he is impeached. It will be interesting.
