Angels and Devils in the Bible

Many people believe that there are two opposing types of supernatural beings. On the one hand, winged white angels in heaven, symbols of goodness. On the other hand, horned red demons in hell, symbols of evil. But if we look closely at Scripture, we will find something else entirely…

God’s Most Reliable Envoys
In Hebrew, the word for angel is malakh (מַלְאַךְ), meaning “messenger”. The malakh is not a cute baby with wings and a halo of blond hair. He is more like an adult human, but is immortal and able to move between heaven and earth. In the Bible, God uses his angels as emissaries who deliver messages to people. Oftentimes, these angels are not recognized as supernatural beings because they look like normal people.

The Grandest Adversary
Among the staff of heavenly beings surrounding God’s throne, the Bible tells us about one being named satan (שָּׂטָן), meaning “accuser.” Satan is not described as a red-faced demon with horns, a tail and a pitchfork. He is not the incarnation of evil and does not live in the flames of hell. He is simply one of the members of God’s heavenly court who advises and sometimes disagrees with God.

Reclaim the Original Bible
The idea of good angels versus evil devils, developed over the last two thousand years, as Jews and Christians searched the Bible for hidden mystical meanings. But these ideas are simply not in the authentic words of the Bible. To really get to the bottom of what the Bible says about anything, enroll in our live online Biblical Hebrew course today and discover the original words of Scripture.

Hey bahmer,

This video is: Unraveling Revelation: The King of the Bottomless Pit

It is by Derrick and Sharon Gilbert. It is a series on Revelation and is unlike any I’ve ever read or watched. This particular video is about the different kinds of angels in the Bible. It goes into details of what their purpose is and much more information! This series has been going on for about a year now. Many of the videos I have watched more than once because there is so much information that is covered from the entire Bible.

I had no idea that there were so many different angels. I never thought that much about what they looked like!
They have much more to do with tribulation than I thought also! The research that goes into their programs are absolutely amazing. It will definitely make a person see angels in a new light!
