Until these people are made to pay for their crimes, a precedent will remain in place that they can do as they please without accountability.

One reason, of many. I was at a Thanksgiving gathering when a person I had never met before told me she had been so busy. Her union had sent 450 of their members out to all the swing states to v**e in those states even though they did not live in them. So this person went from state A to state B+C+D to "swing the v**e" in Biden's favor. She also said she wasn't able to get the Georgia, but wanted to.
