I have a Strat-type guitar I've been wondering what to do with.
I got it for the wood, ash with a maple neck, but it's routed so I could put three humbuckers in it if I wanted...which I'd never do, but an HSS splittable...that I might do.😎
I'm not a fan of tremolos, either.
Here's Brian May's homemade guitar...the red one to his left. It's his primary guitar to this day, he only uses the others if he breaks a string.
And here's Smokin' Joe's Bonabird.
I am a fan of Firebird necks.

The neck on Frank is a Warmouth (sp), the body is Korean. It stays in tune great seein as how it's mostly junk. The pickups are Korean trash, but I don't want to spring the cash to replace them as I can only play a few cords, my son is the guitar man, 80s hard rock/heavy metal. It is a fun guitar tho, anyone who sees it takes a second look. I also have a nice early 90s Dean bass my son gave me for my 43rd birthday, nice quilted maple finish.

Warmouth isn't a cheap neck.
Brian May made the neck of his guitar out of an old piece of oak boat lumber.😂

This one was...it was FREE!! LOL!
I just noticed, the body on his guitars looks a little like the old Dan Electro guitars. I had a Dan Electro bass a lot of years ago, the body was...get this...cardboard! Ever hear such a thing?

The lipstick tubes actually were lipstick too, extra ones when some cosmetics outfit went out of business.
I think the fellow who started Danelectro designed those pickups.
