My great grand son and his soon new daddy, went deer hunting Saterday..

The little guy was the "spotter" and new dad the "shooter"

Little guy is 6 years old.. the excitement was through the roof!!

they got a deer!!

dad said it was a fawn... would never have shot it but the little guy did indeed spot it..

so they harvested the little thing and cut it up at home..

will serve a few snakes even for thanksgiving..

The little guy call me up and told me all about it.. wow , talk about the greatest thing ever.. so excited..

I really get a charge of stuff like this..

New dad is a heck of a guy..

He is also my favorite Republican..

That's always a good feeling. The only thing that can top that is being with the youngster when they are the shooter and get their first deer.
My daughter went out as my spotter one year, unfortunately I couldn't shoot the deer we found that time (two bucks fighting and I had a doe only tag). A couple years later, I took her to my spot when she got home from school. I had taken a buck there in the morning, then she got a nice doe that afternoon. One shot, through the shoulder, lung and heart. Only ran about 30 yards and dropped dead.
