Syrian "Rebels?" Arm Who?

I am troubled by the current push by some in Congress to arm the so-called "Rebels" in Syria. Let's look briefly at the record of arming Islamic whack jobs, rebel or "mainstream":
Afghanistan, the arms ended up being used against our troops, and those of our allies. (We're talking 1970s and 80s here). Bosnia, and Somalia, ditto. Iraq currently, we had hardly left the country before it started falling apart due to typical Arab dependability. Afghanistan, currently, with friends like them, who needs enemies. Every weapon and round of ammo we give them carries a substantial chance of being shot at either us, or our allies. Do these people in Congress think Syria, hardly our friend, will be any different? Even Muslim countries who have only received humanitarian aid eventually turn against us. Instead of aiding and abetting countries whose friendship and loyalty has to be bought, (and who do not have the decency to stay bought), if we just have to give aid to someone, it should be Israel, the only country in the region whom we can depend on, because their survival is dependent on our friendship. Any aid given to any Muslim country will come back and bite us on our National Butt, count on it. How many terrorists are funded by Saudi Arabia, whom we have never injured? How badly do these "friends" screw us on oil? As long as we have vested interests in Congress who are making money off of Arab oil, instead of drilling into our own vast and mostly untapped reserves, we will not be free of terrorist threats. General John Pershing, of WWI fame, was military governor of the Phillipines after the Spanish American War.He captured a group of them, (Actually, these terrorists at least had a leg to stand on), and stood them in front of a wall. In their full view, he slaughtered some hogs, had the firing squad dip their ammo in pig blood, and shot all but one of the terrorists. The dead were buried with pig entrails. The one was left to spread the word. No more terror problems to speak of. Perhaps this sounds harsh, but it is not nearly as harsh as the laws these people inflict on themselves. Fanatics, especially religious ones, understand brute force and little else. In the above mentioned instance, their entrance to Paradise was denied, rather than facilitated, by Pershing's actions. These people cannot be trusted or reasoned with. The sooner our i***t leadership realizes this, the better off we will be. They have been k*****g each other since time immemorial, and will continue to do so as long as there are two of them and one has a weapon.
