Yeah, the "originalist" has forgotten that, originally, only white males of substance were allowed to v**e or hold public office. I guess this means she'll be declining the SC nomination, resign from her judgeship and surrender her law license.
Oh yeah, let's not forget that the Bible forbids women from holding positions of authority over males.
I guess she CAN make some modern allowances for the Constitution.
Go figure.

Maybe I can assist you in learning what the meaning of a judicial originalist is. You obviously need it
BADLY”You said you are an originalist, is that true?" Graham said. "What does that mean in English?"Barrett was happy to oblige.
“In English. Okay, so in English that means that I interpret the Constitution as a law," Barrett answered. "That I interpret its text as text. And I understand it to have the meaning that it had at the time people ratified it. So that meaning doesn’t change over time and it’s not up to me to update it or infuse my own policy views into it.”

In addition to what AuntiE said, and she is right, you are misinterpreting what the Bible says. So, did you know that? Is your statement a mistake, or are you lying to try and make your point?

We can look at the original position of the founders. We have evolved and legislatively and constitutionally, through amendments, we have evolved the Constitution. This did not occur by some judges imposing their views, or the views of other nations. As to who got the right to v**e, we were wrong to deny this to persons of color as color does not affect someone's patriotism. Also, we were wrong to deny women the right to v**e. Lowering the v****g age to 18 was fair. If we ask 18 year old put their lives on the line for their country, they should have a say in the governance of their country. The one condition that still makes sense, although we have done away with that condition, is the ownership of property. That one made sense because you wanted someone with skin in the game have a say in the governance of the country. If you have nothing on the line, you end up being indifferent to the outcome. Upholding these changes does not change the fact a person is an originalist. They are maintaining the original intent based on subsequent laws or amendments modifying the Constitution.

Read Judges chapter 4, 1-11 and chapter 5, 1-18. Wrong again. It's becoming a habit with you. Are you ever right or do you lie on purpose? Curious minds would like to know.

Well given what you say here it’s a pretty good thing women have advanced as far as we have isn’t it? I mean we even carry a majority in the v**e as well so you better be careful of the other accomplishments women on the SCOTUS may initiate..😊😊
Although I am not a property owner I pay enough in taxes to believe I have “skin in the game”

I believe that only applies to positions of authority within the church.

And it also applied to a specific church in a specific area that was having problems. There are other places in the NT where ladies ARE in authority, and were praised by the Apostles.

The fact is that if you are a renter, you have skin in the game, since part of your rent goes to property taxes and the upkeep of said property. Which may be why they changed that, as the country changed, and urban areas were more numerous, with apartments made available.
