No Jim, that's just propaganda nonsense. As long as people keep fighting each other, individually or by party, we are all hurting only ourselves. Everyone I know are against oligarch's also. Dem's are more less like to be sheeple also. They tend to not travel in packs like the right.

It isn’t nonsense. Have you not talked to any college age people? Of course if asked, they’d be against Oligarchs if they even know what one is. They rail against capitalism and all its evils while being on their gadgets 24/7 that were produced and sold affordably because of capitalism.

I said propaganda nonsense, and it is because its completely untrue.

Well Jim we all have our ideals coming straight out of high school and into college, that's what growing up is. I don't tend to lump people all together in a broad brush like that, except when I'm referring to extremists, they are in their own category and I'm not talking left or right, just warped. LOL I guess I do now too when speaking of left and right, though I try not to, but that's more relevant to what someone is saying to me.

As soon as they start paying things for themselves the growing spurts happen. Yahoo
I have a 20 year old, what bothers me with him is his apathy to politics, but I guess I was the same at that age, did have some, er....um...other things on my mind.

Show me one American who wants true socialism, the old way you're thinking of, under a dictatorship, no one, not one. We're a capitalistic materialistic,(and now a very disposable) society through and through. Haven't ya heard, we love money!!!! Why do you think that is? Our social classes are dictated by it, we feed our egos by it on a daily bases. Who fits in and who doesn't, who is better than the other, and who's trash, we live by it.

Perhaps you are right. I can't think of a single one who has admitted it. Probably Bernie Sanders has come the closest. But pretty much everyone on the left wants go just far enough down that slope to use government as a means of implementing (forcing) their versions of "social justice". Nope. No way. Because once that we are on that slope, there is no stopping. Human nature is too strong with the overwhelming desire to "fix" everyone else Such efforts have always ALWAYS led into c*******m and dictatorship by the class in charge. In Cuba it was the Castro family. In Russia it was the bureaucrat class. In China it's the C*******t party. Capitalism, modified just enough to smooth out the rough spots and implement some extra fairness, is the only way to maximize personal freedoms. Like law enforcement, it needs some more modifications. Fine. To both. Neither needs to be destroyed and rewritten. It's a bad and very VERY dangerous idea.

Of course I've been to restaurants like you describe, but if you ask you get the price. Try it at a Hospital. You are correct I did throw HMO's in with the hospitals. My mistake, The article you reference was very short and actuarily correct. Not a big deal. You can get the same figures from the government.Believe me I am not a fan of the way the healthcare industry is run. Can't tell you how many times I have had to give the same information over and over. I have five doctors in my immediate family. It seems they agree about as much as economists. However; they all believe t***sparency and a cap on litigation would go a long way in reducing costs. I have my own plan to pay for pre-existing conditions. Have sent it too numerous politicians. My plan would cover everyone with out premiums for the healthy going up. Politicians haven't reacted. Health care entities I have run it by love it. Probably why politicians aren't interested.
Of course I've been to restaurants like you descr... (show quote)

You have to keep in mind that far too many politicians from BOTH sides of the isle get lost all too often in lobbyists' pockets, part of the draw for term limits.
