I read in the Chicago Tribune today that the Chicago City Council will take up the matter of R********ns. It was sent to a special sub committee and in Chicago that usually means it is buried. But it only takes one outrageous fanatic Alderman to keep pushing the issue. And sometimes things take on a life of their own.

I was born almost 80 years ago but about 80 year after they got their freedom. I never owned a s***e and my ancestors never owed s***es or where even in America when s***ery was legal. I have no responsibility for their needs to whine.

I understand that Uncle Tom laws and the KKK held them down and they should seek R********ns from the Democrat Party for that.

I also understand that the very s***ery of their ancestors was the cause of their own very existence. If their ancestors had stayed in Africa, the unique connections of hundreds of years might have resulted in many births, but they wouldn't be one of those births. Statistically impossible.

But if they want r********ns, I think the only thing America might owe them is a one way ticket to the African country of their choice as long as they turn in their citizenship and can never be allowed to return to America to even just visit.

Meanwhile, they should consider that they already have their R********ns in the form of citizenship in the United States of America which has made them better off then if they were born in Africa.

I have said the same thing for years. History & logic change daily in liberal/l*****ts.

They claim now that the Democrat Party had some epiphany event in the 60’s, haven’t ever talked to a Democrat that can give me any details of exactly when & how. I was old enough in the 60’s to know if such an event happened like that happened deep in South GA. I escorted the first black girl to attend our high school. The NAACP brought her down from Detroit to live w/ her grandaunt, reckon the black kids in our town did not qualify. I sure as hell was not the Board of Educations pick, just starting my first year in city schools myself. Her grandaunt told them she picked me & that was the way it was going to be.

We did not have a single problem. I was taunted for being countryfied. No one ever messed w/ her. The country girls took her in immediately. The city kids took longer but most of them came around.

Seems like to me Republicans pushed the civil rights bills through. I don’t think the democrats have gotten to revise The Congressional Records yet, don’t doubt for a minute they won’t try.

Lori, both of my maternal Grandparents came here from Ireland, my fraternal Grandmother was from Ireland and my fraternal Grandfather was English. I'm pretty sure they all owned s***es to get those "potatoe" eyes in the ground and probably beat the crap out of them if they didn't plant the allotted amount daily, no cotton for them.
