Every time somebody has a discussion about the Bible why does it always end up in an argument. I have yet to talk about something in the Bible and someone says lets discuss it. I believe There is only one t***h in the Bible, because there is only one God.

From what I have gathered over the years, the arguments start because of disagreeing interpretations, unbelief, or down-deep-inside guilt. I am guilty of the first and last. We can't be in a world with such diversity in race and beliefs without having disagreements (or arguments).

The bottom line, to me, is that if a person wants to know the t***h about God, they will ask God to show them. Then they must be open to wh**ever comes their way.

And I agree completely! There is only one God! The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!!

We all are guilty. I was when discussing the whore of Babylon. That one is definetly one that is up for interpretation. I'm going to try in the future to say " this is my take on the subject" and let everyone decide what they want. If we are all plugged in to his spirit...we will all be fine. It's like arguing about the rapture, it will happen, when? I'm still not sure. Some think that we should go through the tribulation and help those left behind. I don't believe that. I pray for deliverance as the world will be so wicked,I don't want to be in Sodom. But...we will see.

In the Book of Thessalonians God says when Jesus come back, We will not go ahead of those who died in Jesus. The dead will be raised first then we who are alive will be changed in the twinkling of an eye. We shall all raise to Jesus and be with the Lord forever more. In the Book of Revelation it says the dead who are not saved will not be raised until the day of judgment The Temple that God is building is a Spiritual Temple. It reads I saw the new Jerusalem coming down out of Heaven like a bride adorned for her Husband. God is building a Spiritual Temple with Jesus as the chief cornerstone, and the foundation is formed from the old Testament Prophets and the Apostles. If anybody thinks that God is going to let the temple be built in Jerusalem their wrong. The Temple of God will not Come to this world. It will come to the new Heaven and new earth

In Revelation chapter 1 verse 7 Jesus says He will come like a thief in the night, every eye will see Him, the whole earth will mourn. Does anyone think that the saved will be mourning. I doubt it.

Your 2 comments don't appear congruous. They seem to contradict each other. Are you saying you do or don't want a discussion? Are you saying that the discussions turn into arguments? How do you define arguments vs. discussions, then? Do you define a discussion as a conversation between two parties of the same mindset? If so, perhaps you should ask those who don't agree with you to kindly refrain from commenting.

You also seem to not believe your own quote of Rev. 1:7. Why do you think that the whole Earth (saved and unsaved) will not mourn? Why would you doubt what the Bible said?

I'm not arguing. I'm only asking.

Why would there be mourning if God has come to fulfill his promise to us?

My understanding is perhaps because the verse reads, "...and all peoples on earth 'will mourn because of him.'[b]
So shall it be! Amen."

the Note [b] reads:

[b]: Zechariah 12:10 (NIV)

Mourning for the One They Pierced
10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look to me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.

I do not get in discussions in regard to the Christian Bible for one simple reason. It is not part of my religious path and I know next to nothing about it. I believe all religious people are very passionate about their faith. Maybe it's not so much an argument, as everyone trying to help you with what they believe in the heart to be the t***h.

guess we all grow up under different circumstances so we all have different outlooks on life. We defend what we know because that is our way of life. There was an experiment where a boy was raised on a deserted island. He was completely mixed up on names of things. he was told a car was table and other things. When he was an adult He was taken to society and was put on his own. He found out that he was wrong on most everything he named. He tried to defend his way of life but had so many problems he had to start over. We are not that bad . The one thing I try to do is see the other side and try to make sense of it. We in this world are not as smart as we think we are. That is why there are so many arguments. If two men were walking down the road and saw an apple on a tree and that apple was red and nobody was color blind they would both agree that the apple was red. When two people see the same t***h then there is no arguments.
