C.S. Lewis is one guy I want to meet some day. I've memorized about half his writings.

I posted this because I've never really listened to him speak. This is cool!

This vid is one of the dozen or so on the page.

So was he. I hear Tolkien was instrumental in the changing of that. They were good friends.

Beside my pa...C.S. Lewis may be pretty close to a hero to me. He boils things down in a way that makes sense to me.

I recommended The Great Divorce to a friend of mine...a very troubled but intelligent person.

Later on he told me it changed his mind. He walked to the altar and accepted Christ.

He said, "I was hooked before I finished the preface."

Have you read his books?

It takes a minute to synch the spoken voice with the written one.

Lewis was way above my education level and I had to learn a bit of British to understand...

...but as a child I memorized the Narnia series...

...so as an adult I already understood his vernacular.

Can't wait to meet this man! He died the year I was born.

I want to meet him too. I didn't read the Narnia series but watched the movies. I haven't read anything by him in years. Time to revisit some of his writings.

Go back in time within your own self and read the Narnia series. It won't be a waste. I can promise it.

Thanks for the link, Mike!!! I crave everything Lewis has done. In fact, thanks for the reminder of him...it's way past time for me to go back to his wonderful world!
