It’s time to fire Harry Reid. Or so says the Republican National Committee -- which today launched its brand new campaign to wrestle control of the upper chamber from Democrats by explicitly targeting the Senate Majority Leader.

RNC National Press Secretary Kirsten Kukowski issued the following statement this morning:

Today the RNC launches our #FireReid campaign.

Under the control of Harry Reid, the U.S. Senate has failed to listen to the American people and do what’s in their best interest. In fact, the U.S. Senate has failed to do much of anything that doesn’t serve Harry Reid’s quest to remain in power.

For example, the Republican-led House of Representatives has passed over 290 bills, including 40 jobs bills, that are stuck Harry Reid’s Senate. He won’t put them to a v**e, even though they could put Americans back to work.

Likewise, Harry Reid has refused to let his Republican colleagues introduce amendments to legislation, a normal part of the lawmaking process. It’s his way or the highway. Or more accurately, it’s billionaire SuperPAC donor Tom Steyer’s way or the highway.

The RNC has put together a rather long list of all the reasons why Harry Reid must go. Blocking bills, breaking promises, and cutting off debate are only some of the grievances they document. But at the same time, they’re also trying to tie him to what they describe as the president's "failed" agenda; and as a result, will take their message to a dozen or so key battleground states to make their case:

The RNC will take this message to Senate races across the country. Beginning this week, we will launch robocalls in Alaska, Colorado, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, New Mexico, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oregon, South Dakota, Virginia, and West Virginia. Those calls will tell v**ers that the only way to stop Obama is to v**e Republican and fire Reid. The calls will remind them that a v**e for their respective Democrat Senate candidate is a v**e to rubberstamp the failed Obama-Reid agenda.

The ongoing Fire Reid campaign will use a variety tactics, including research briefings, social media, videos, interviews, and infographics to highlight where Harry Reid, empowered by a Democrat majority, has failed Americans: ineffectual leadership, ethical lapses, gridlock, ObamaCare, Keystone, and more.

The message is simple: if you want to get America moving in the right direction, you have to fire Reid in November.

Perhaps this message will also resonate with swing v**ers who find Reid’s mindless rantings and hypocrisy too much to bear. We'll see.

This is 2014 not 2008 when the dumbocrats don't control both House and Senate. 40 jobs bills sit on Harry's desk and Harry knows most of those bills would pass but the problem is republicans would get credit and he'd rather less jobs. He's rolling the dice with jobs, might be his job also.

There are approximately 30 bills sitting in the Senate awaiting discussion but they never will be v**ed on because they either do nothing to create jobs, they add to the deficit, they are anti-middle class/poor, or they have poison pill attachments to repeal the ACA. Additionally, if the GOP gains control of the Senate, they will get a double dose of their own "filibuster everything" medicine from the Democratic party, and the President will still have veto power. Bottom line......if they win, they still lose. Comical.

The American people are being held hostage by two political obstructionists. The House has sent numerous bipartisan bills to the Senate for action that have been blocked by one person, Majority Leader Harry Reid. He has defiantly blocked bills from moving to the Senate floor to protect Senate Democrats from v****g in deference to their constituents, avoiding possible re-e******n concerns. His actions show blatant disregard for the American people. We should demand his resignation.

The House has passed numerous bills to reopen various branches of government, putting affected employees back to work. Reid and President Obama have refused to entertain passage. Our president feels the Affordable Care Act is more important than the rest of America, except for those illegally exempted from it. The president and Reid state there will be no negotiation, but blame the GOP. It's 100 percent their way or nothing.

Reid is out of control!

I suppose if one Democrat v**es with the GOP it's considered bipartisan, but if one Republican agrees with a Democrat they are considered a t*****r. As far as I can tell, there are no closed branches of government, so that statement reeks of unt***hfulness. Also, initially the President offered his hand to the GOP in order to make inroads on governing the country, but they just slapped his hand and laughed in his face. He finally realized that his efforts were in vain, so he started b***h slapping them back every chance he got. They don't seem to like it when the President fights back, and accuse him of being a king, a dictator, the messiah, etc. His attitude now is he has nothing to lose, so he's going to do it his way and the GOP leaders can go to hell. I like that attitude because he will be judged by what HE does and not by what the GOP wants him to do.

Don't be so lazy, look through the bills at the final count, very surprising at the number of democrats who did v**e for. Nancy has questioned why but of course she turned right around and blamed the other side. They went through the House so the other side is the Senate. Most days I think she's brain dead!
