I introduced a significant bill and amendment, the SCHOOL Act (Support Children Having Open Opportunities for Learning).

It’s timely and needed.

Right now, we are all wondering if our local schools will open. What will that opening look like? If the classes are online, will they be any good? Will conditions be better than the end of last year?

Sadly, it seems our schools won’t be opening right now, so I’m taking this on.

THE SCHOOL ACT:

Takes ALL FEDERAL DOLLARS and puts them in the hands of parents instead of bureaucrats and local governments.
Allows those funds to be used for a range of needs, including:

Curriculum materials
Technological educational materials
Tutoring
Extracurricular activities
Private school tuition; and
Support for Special Education

Ensures each child would receive the same amount of funding, regardless of where the child is enrolled
Ensures students who choose to take advantage of these opportunities could still benefit from federally funded school food programs
Protects non-public education providers from federal and state control

In Liberty,

Rand Paul

Until you marginalize the two major education unions; education will continue to be a propaganda tool instead of a learning and critical thinking process!

Get Federal money out of education! The politicians are using it for their gain, and not the best interest of the student!
