No-one could deny that President Trump is not leading an ideological charge, if successful that would qualify as an ideological expansion because it would be a completely a new political World Order.

The status quo before 2016 with regard to Taiwan, / the South China Sea, / and Trade between the US and China, was established when Nixon went to China that was 48 years ago, prior to that the Chinese 9 dash line in the South China Sea was the 11 dash line in 1947, when China was more or less given permission after Japan's defeat, but was reduced to 9 dashes to help Vietnam out, in 2010 it was the 10 dash line which incorporates Taiwan not sure why it's now only 9, I think the Chinese dropped the 10'th dash because they didn't want to rock the boat, no one asked them to do it.

I did my best to sort that out, and the best I can come up with is that you are trying to convey the histories of failed offensives, and that President Trump is repeating the same folly.
Trump has nothing to gain, nor has he the power, to push a "New World Order" agenda.
He is fighting that concept, on a National as well as Global level using traditional values ( The Constitution )...he is on DEFENSE against these ideologies.
At this point I'll point out your use of the phrase "You can see what I am saying..." and the word
"abstruse" are a bit conflicting. I am still struggling to see clearly what your point is.
As far as China goes, they are performing the "Death of a Thousand Cuts" on the planet.
They are buying an deepening seaports across the world, to accommodate their warships. Start your research with the port at Grand Bahama Island. Continue to the Nordic region, and you'll be intrigued to dig deeper. China is also absorbing Iran and working on many others...including the United States.
