How will stop listening to scientists, we have more than two, help us? We've already stopped listening and the v***s surged. How will doing that again be of benefit?

They are not economists. Trump needs to listen to health professional who have an unbiased opinion and no ulterior motive; money?. On the other hand, Trump also has to listen to the non-professional medical people to decide what policy the national government should follow. It is the Governors who have shut down the economy, the schools, and made people shelter in place along with their fear-mongering co-conspirators, the media.

It was trump leaving the work to the locals, Govs which messed up the country so badly..

Most of the rest of the world, which is now into recovery had a national leader who led the way to a timely shut down, personal protection masks etc and by not doing this we the USA are left dead last in the dust of recovery..

Economists? Are you saying we should have a $ value on each death??? how much? 10$ times 150,000 and counting? that can add up.. ask any Mom...

Permafrost; It's called Federalism and State's Rights. Imagine the uproar from the Democrats if Trump had made an edict shutting everything down. Hell, look at all the controversy over his stance, and that of the CDC Director, on the issue of opening schools for the Fall. There is just no pleasing some people.

I'm not saying there is a value attached to each death. Don't be rediculous. You lefty's just keep dreaming up more and more scenarios that are not there and try to confound and contradict every issue with hyperbolic ennui and enmity. What they are sayaing is that the cure is worse than the v***s because where 155,000 people have reportedly died from C***D, and those numbers are dubious, millions upon millions of people are having their lives ruined, their livilihoods taken away by government decree, their businesses closed, and jobs lost, and facing eviction or foreclosure from their home. But the elected official are not taking the hit directly, as it is with most government employees because they are considered essential. Where is their sacrifice? What is their sacrifice? Every job is essential. It is especially essential to the person who holds that job to support their family.

I have no doubt at all that wh**ever idea popped into the orange empty head it would not be for the citizens of our country and so, no thinking person would ever find any merit in any self-serving action by trump..

As for the economy, many other country s did the recommended actions, shutdown and now are reopening in steps and they are working it out..

We on the other hand, needing to get 50 state governors on the same page while the president held back any support at all, even some physical products per reports..

leadership was needed and none was even attempted..

It is very clear that trump and republicans think the economy is more important then the countries health and safety..

so how many death are OK for the return to work ASAP?

how many teachers are expendable for full return to school.. did you know that Baron will not be going to school, his school is not among those which will try to open..

And it seems a good bet that only a few states will try and reopen as normal this school year..

I bet you two and an extreme minority would have liked to be just like Sweden and not shut down at all, then had a full blown p******c while all the rest are recovering..

Oh.. wait.. what the heck,, that is what we got and trump is bragging about it..

That is not at all clear. This is the Democrats and progressives projection because that is the only way they know how to operate; not for the American People but for the Party, Power, Command and Control.

Just what was the original intent with the self-quarantine and all when the p******c started? Do you remember? It was to FLATTEN THE CURVE! Not to eliminate the v***s because that can't be done.

Well, the curve is still flat. The number of positive test results have increase because we have done more test now than any other country. However, the death rate is not spiking anymore overall. There are some areas of the country where the rate of infection is more prevalent. However, School children are relatively safe from the v***s, and those who are not, such at teachers and non-teaching personnel, should take the proper precautions to protect themselves, or don't come back to work. We don't know exactly what will happen unless we try. Evidence from Europe and the rest of the world suggest that schools can be safely re-opened with little adverse effect to healthy adults. Even less adverse consequences to school age children. They are suffering as much from the shutdown as the adults, if not more so; Depression, child-abuse, domestic violence, drug, sexual abuse, mental health, and lack of socializing which is so necessary to their development to become a good person, and much, much more!

Isn't it interesting how two people can look at the exact same set of conditions and circumstances of an event and see two very different scenarios? Neither is necessarily right nor wrong. That's why we have debates and such, in a search for t***h. How you are well up there in Minnesota! Stay safe. There is more yet to come!

What I would prefer to see is much of the government shut down. We have enough unnecessary bureaucrats, each vying for a piece of the power pie and increasing their own influence over their little domains and d******ns. What are government employees sacrificing? What are elected members of Congress sacrificing? What are state governments and governors sacrificing? For the most part, nothing! Everything is business as usual for them. They don't have to worry about losing their jobs.

It's a v***s, states don't have a right to pass it around.

What I beleive,
It’s not about protecting your heath, it’s about controlling your behavior. These are not just random remarks by these two “doctors”: They are intentional, calculated statements designed to start another media-led panic. Why? Because the “case” numbers related to the China v***s are once again falling. Their not gonna let this f**e crisis dye if they can help it.

You are the frog, and they are boiling you

So you admit it was the governors fault. The Dem govs wanted to lead. They said it should be up to them. If they would of left Trump alone, maybe this p******c would be over by now. The Dems have been fighting Trump since day 1, instead of working with him to benefit the country.
