Ain't it grand?

My 76 year old ma knows who Mark Knopfler is because he jammed with Chet Atkins and because he did the music for The Princess Bride.

I was going to post Chet Atkins playing, The Last Date.........but I can’t find it! I don’t think I’m crazy, I could have sworn that it was my Dad’s favorite instrumental! My husband said that he remembers Chet playing it on American Bandstand! Does anyone else remember him playing this on his guitar? I know Floyd Cramer recorded it and several singers recorded it! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

This video brings back lots of wonderful memories! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Hm, that sounds familiar was the time frame anywhere in 1950-1970? I have a few music channels I listen to and I think it was on the Golden Oldie one. It really goes back to the '40s, but it misses so many eh my problem with them. A guitar instrumental would have been like a magnet to me. I recently sold my vintage Fender for $2900.
lol ever hear Bonehelmet? They were kind of like Dead Can Dance, but not Jewish I knew 2 of them. Queer as a three dollar bill. They did have a great guitarist. They were in Florida and went nowhere!
