USA Today says Federal Government made an arrogant mistake in the way they handled the Bundy ranch situation last spring. The author, David Livingston, said the U.S. government has grown so oppressive that it has led Americans to taking a stand (even an armed stand) in an effort to rebuff the growing forces within U.S. borders.

Carolyn The stand taken at the Bundy Ranch in Nevada had a lot to do with the local Sheriff not up holding his county citizens instead listening to Senator Harry Reid & son who had deals going on for many years with the China government wanting to eventually buying that property to put in some sota energy business. That was just one of several other BUREAUCRATIC doings. Its not over yet. Keep watching this will all be coming back. Dirty Harry isn't done yet.

The biggest problem I had was the destruction of personal property. Really no different than a developer forcing people out of they're homesto place a shopping mall there.

do you actually believe PETA would have done anything if there was not a bunch of donation money to them involved? That is one organization I would never give anything to. They have proven they are as crooked as the federal government.

There will never be anything good come out of the government run healthcare. This government, either Democrat or Republican, could not run a lemonade stand without going in the hole. Closely check what has happened to the USDA and their give-a-way programs. They have made it a moneymaking proposition to LOSE money at farming. And they actually pay farmers to NOT FARM, and put their land into soil bank nightmares that only they could possibly dream up.
My husband and I own a very small farm and we do not belong to any farming organizations or clubs. We pay for our own fencing, seed and other farming expenses. We believe that farming should once again be run as any other business and if one cannot make a go of farming, then get into some other business.
It is not a business when one can go crying to the government when their crops fail and they can get a non-interest loan to buy seed for the next year. It is no longer farming when a "farmer" specializes in one crop and when that crop is "in," goes to Florida for the winter as some do. It is not a business when they only have to work 6 months of the year at farming.
Can anyone name me ONE thing that this government has become involved in that has actually succeeded as was intended?
